Steam in the Valley
Steam in the Valley on the +Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park started this weekend and runs for there weekends. Yesterday I went to the Station in Peninsula with +Duane Loya
. I was able to catch the +Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society
Nickel Plate Road No 765 as it came south on the tracks. The 765 is a fully restored Steam Engine,
If you are interested in riding on the train you can purchase your tickets in the CVSR Web Site, they have short trips running on Saturdays and Sundays through October 4th.
If you are only interested in seeing the train I would recommend that you goto the boarding location of the train for the trips. Plan on being there early and staying after the train departs so that you can watch the train as it arrives and leaves. You can also get close to the train and see how massive it is. Check out the schedule on the CVSR Website.
Please do not stand on the tracks or next to the tracks. I would hate to see anyone get hurt. Trains are massive and they cannot stop very easily.+Duane Loya
