Well had 2 customers that crashed both their Windows base machines,And both had over 60 gig of just pictures alone and of course never took the time to backup.
So one of the 2 said ,I wont be buying anymore desktop or laptop machines but will only be using my iPad now,So she asked can you install the 80 Gig of my pictures on to my 16 GIG iPad.......aaaaaaaa NO not possible I said not even if I use a HAMMER.
So I asked what about sending them to a cloud base storage site.
NOOOOOO WAY she said.Well I replied I could put them on a DVD but that would mean you would have to pay extra its about 18 DVD's at $5 a DVD which would cost you about $90 and you still wouldn't be able to do anything as far as the iPad was concerned..BIG PAUSE............. OK she said what about the cloud :)
It seems to me that people just don't get the cloud,But only are interested if its a money saving thing.
Also my concern now is Me sending customers data to the cloud and you can imagine how long 80 Gig worth of data will take for me to upload considering my upload is only 1 meg up.
So as we all start moving people to Chromebooks or tablets,Its going to open up a whole new business of sending data to the cloud,I hope for God sake the Internet providers don't start dropping our upload speeds or even start charging us extra.
