They look really nice, though based on the price of the normal Timbuk2 bags, they seems quite expensive.

Flash used to be the only way to unlock all the wonders of the internet: watching cat videos, viewing nifty Flash sites and playing Flash video games. For a great out-of-the-box experience, it was important to pre-install Flash on all our systems --- until now. #farewell
Read our blog to find out why we're no longer pre-installing Flash on our systems. We also provide tips on how to return to Flash if you still need it. http://blog.system76.com/post/124110683268/farewell-flash

Are you curious to know the backend of our recent #ubuntu76 hashtag campaign? Did you know that the sparklers on our homepage were dynamic with every tweet? Read all the gory details from +Jason DeRose

Here's a preview:
"This work was done over just five business days (brisk, to say the least).  ...  Python3 is my language of choice for this sort of thing, so that’s what I used. ... Every 15 seconds a 2nd Upstart job hits the CouchDB view to get the new count  ...  [In the future] we’d love to do a campaign across multiple social networks, but not all of them provide APIs we can work with. ..."

Read more about "Consuming the Twitter."

Here are some of the gory technical details of how we did the backend for our recent #ubuntu76 hashtag campaign. We setup an Ubuntu VM on Rackspace to consume the Twitter Streaming API, count Tweets,...

Apparently, today will be Denver's first street arcade, and it's right in front of our office on 16th street mall!

From 11:00 AM-2:00 PM you have a chance to play a video game on the Champa Street LED screen. Curious to see how this looks/works.

Reminder to all customers and users of Ubuntu: As of yesterday, Ubuntu 14.10 is EOL, and will no longer receive security updates.

Any customers still running 14.10 should strongly be urged to upgrade to 15.04 (Vivid). Instructions and caveats for the upgrade may be found at:

A really awesome review from one of our customers!

He purchased a Galago UltraPro in February. This laptop has since traveled to 7 countries and over 20,000 miles. When his other desktop failed, he took advantage of the Galago's display port and HDMI out, creating a new work station. And his work station setup looks really cool btw.

I've been meaning to write this post forever, but I've been too busy kicking ass to do so. However, after last night I really can't resist or procrastinate on this anymore.

I love my +System76 Galago UltraPro. Back in February, my previous laptop which I've had for over 3 years, was starting to fail me. I was planning on just getting the latest generation of that model. While at SCALE I had a chance to play with the Galago UltaPro in person. 4xi7 and 16GB RAM with an IPS matte display and Intel Iris Pro 5200. I literally purchased it online on the Galago they had on display. I was sold.

In the last 5 months this laptop has traveled over 20,000 miles and been to 7 countries. It hasn't left my side and has been an amazing companion. When at home I split my time 50/50 between desktop and laptop. That was, until last night.

My desktop, a 4xi7 and 32GB machine has been, failing. Constant lock ups setting back my work and productivity. Yesterday it locked up three times in one day, one while doing an Ubuntu on Air broadcast. In my frustration over the dodgy state of my desktop I realized that the Galago has a display port and HDMI out. Too good to be true. After rounding up some cables and adapters, I've got a new workstation and grew an extra screen.

So I wanted to sincerely thank the entire +System76 crew. The laptop is amazing, and for the price, it's one of the best spec'd machines. This is my work, this plays my games, this is my cloud, this laptop is my life!
