Tonight, LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner present #ANDINTHEEND, a collaborative performance project exclusive to BingeFest.

From midnight tonight, visitors are invited into the Joan Sutherland Theatre, one by one, to participate by delivering a message or statement to the trio inside. The sole requirement is that each participant’s message should begin with the words: “AND IN THE END…” Visitors are free to interpret this request in any way they see fit.

Once communicated to the artists, visitors' messages will be relayed to the world during a continuous broadcast, live-streamed online at andintheend.sydneyoperahouse.com. At the same time, their words will be beamed out across a 60-metre-long LED display at Sydney Opera House.

Performance Dates: December 17 (11:59pm – 6am), December 18 (10pm – 6am)
Visitors will be allowed to queue beneath the Sydney Opera House Monumental Stairs from 10pm on Saturday 17 December and 8pm on Sunday 18 December for entry to LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner. Entry is not guaranteed.
This event is free to attend.

LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner’s open-ended project implicitly asks: where are we headed? what might it all mean? and what is important in the end?

"Freire’s crystalline articulation and remarkable dexterity ensured the virtuosic passagework was executed with ease." The Australian.

Pianist Nelson Freire returns to the Opera House to perform Schumann's rhapsodic Piano Concerto. See him perform with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra tonight and tomorrow: http://bit.ly/2cVoNnb
At 72, Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire may not be a pianistic household name such as Martha Argerich, Evgeny Kissin or Murray Perahia, but his artistry is recognised as being of their ilk.

The most glorious and iconic place in Sydney matches up expectations. Unless you go very early early in the morning you will find yourself surrounded by tourists. A nice way to enjoy the view of both the Opera house and Harbour Bridge is on the ferry way back from Manly by sunset time. Majestic!

Splendid venue on the Sydney foreshore. It's iconic sails are unmissable from any direction. There are a number of restaurants and bars nearby (open till late) so if you feel you can always grab a drink or a bite after watching a show. We saw My Fair Lady and the acoustics were amazing. I'd highly recommend seeing at least one show in the Opera House. Note that the Joan Sutherland theatre is the main one and that's where you want to be.

Incredible and iconic landmark that is a must visit if in sydney. The tours are well worth the money as you see parts of the opera house that wouldn't see. If you have time check out an opera as its a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Facility was amazing. As a construction person, it was interesting to learn that the iconic roof is just to keep the rain off the actual performance spaces. As a first time visitor to Sydney from the US, I wanted to catch a performance in the main hall. Porgy and Bess seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I only bought tickets the day before the Thursday show. I got the cheap "obstructed view" tickets up above the choir. Given our location directly above the choir, and having the orchestra between us and the actors, we had to rely on the amplified sound through the speakers directly above us to hear the vocals. It was terrible. I couldn't hear 90% of the words. At intermission, we moved to seats in the main part of the auditorium. Only slightly better. My new seat mate said it was part of the inherent chronic problem the hall has with acoustics. Wish I hadn't gone. Now I'll have a life long poor opinion of the magnificent Opera House.

They don't call it the '8th Wonder' for nothing. Opened in 1973, our magnificent Opera House continues to attract discerning tourists from all over the World. The location, the building, the many and varied world-class performances of Opera, Symphony, Plays and Musicals are all compelling reasons to pay a visit to arguably our greatest national icon. So outstanding is it, the wonder is that it was ever built! It belongs to the World, but it's all ours. 5 stars from me, every time.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Mooched off of one of their free open days and saw the ins and outs of the place along with a thousand other pushing and shoving animals, but saved myself a few hundred bucks so not complaining. Also saw some talks by people such as George Miller and Kevin Smith during the Graphic festival in 2015. Good venue and an iconic Aussie site to see. Recommended!

Ate at Opera Kitchen, was overpriced and seafood was very disappointing. $29 fish and chips was thickly battered, in a heavily seasoned batter. Large portion size but not worth the price. Seafood tasting plate cost $30.50, and only contained 6 small prawns, 2 bits of smoked salmon, 1 mussel and a few bits of marinated octopus. There was a large mound of salad leaves, and a small mound of mashed tuna. Very bad value for seafood. The pasta, steak and burgers looked more enticing, but expect to pay double the usual price found elsewhere. Has a great view of the harbour, and bridge, and is a no smoking area. The place next door has significantly better food quality when it comes to seafood, but is also an expensive option.
