We stayed in room 132 on the second floor of the building furthest up the hill. The accommodations were clean and the staff helpful and courteous. Our private mineral hot tub, the size of a jacuzzi, was outside our front door, behind a large wooden fence and latching gate that provided privacy. From the tub, we commanded a view of the hillside, extending up steeply from our position and covered in lush green foliage. During the course of our one night stay, I'm sure I spent upwards of 10 hours in the mineral spring fed tub. With my laptop perched on the side, we alternated between watching Netflix, and simply enjoying each other's company and the serenity of the nature about us. I haven't felt so relaxed in years. It was a truly romantic and revitalizing experience which I recommend to anyone having the opportunity to experience.

I took my wife and two children to soak in one of the tubs. Customer service was fantastic. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that we didn't have control over the water temp and would have liked it a little hotter. A few times during our time there we could feel hotter water coming into the tub so I know it has to be possible. Besides that, great operation.

We stayed here overnight at the normal room rate of $300 and we were sadly disappointed by the condition of the room; dirty and stained carpets, scratched furniture; antiquated TV in the bedroom, over 10 yrs old; rusty electrical fixtures; shower door would not shut; ruff towels. THIS IS NOT what a $300 per night room. When this was mentioned to the front desk staff at check-out, they’re reply was “Those rooms are scheduled to be upgraded soon!”. So unsuspecting guests get charged full price for a substandard room! NICE! Good things: linens and room service Needs improvement: 1) Do not put families and couples in the same building! For a romantic getaway, we don't want to hear families playing in their spa coming from the next room. 2) Train your front desk staff to be better informed of your property. They need to know that are 2 trails to Avila Beach, an easy 2.2 walk and a STRENUOUS 6-mile HIKE to the top of the bluff. So when a guest asks "how do get to Avila Beach?", do NOT just say take the path outside of registration. Also they need to inform guests or provide them with the schedule of activities of the property. We called guest services to find out the yoga schedule and had to wait 5 minutes while the person researched it. While standing by the phone, I turned around and found the property’s schedule of activities attached to a table. AGHHH. They should have known it was in the room. NOTE: Day after making the reservations, I found a GROUPON special for $139 a night for the same room!

Room & amenities: 4 stars. Food: 3 stars. Tubs take a while to fill up. Dual shower heads and bench in shower was great. Labyrinth is closed, very unfortunate. Service was great though. Dinner entrees were ok, but breakfast menu was much better.

The Sycamore Mineral Springs is not omy a beautiful place to visit, but has romantically private mineral tubs for anyone looking to relax alone, spend some time with someone special, or kick it with some friends under a waterfall. Their staff is friendly and their amenities are endless. For anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to retreat to, this is the spot. Only 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from pismo, and 5 minutes from the beach. Will absolutely be visiting numerous times in my future and will recommend to my friends!

The hot mineral springs baths are amazing! The area around each tub is always clean, and the staff are very accommodating. A great place to relax with friends or have a romantic soak with your significant other at a reasonable price.

It's beautiful here. It's so much fun having a hot tub on our patio. The kids love it. We are in one of the remodeled queen suites and it is lovely. Perfect for our family of four. The pool is a little old and needs to be refinished, but it's big and the setting is excellent, so it hardly matters. We saw a wild yurkey on the hillside out back!
