Our room was nice and secluded, with a comfortable couch and fireplace. The spa was soothing and relaxing. I have no complaints about the place, they have a gift shop for drinks and sundries, a nice bar and restaurant. There's no ice machines but they deliver ice when you need it, they take good care of their guests.

On Monday September 5th, I reserved a table at the restaurant in the resort, named the Gardens of Avila, and booked a private hot tub that night in the spa. I was thoroughly impressed with the hot tub and the service! I will definitely be back! However, I was very unimpressed with the service at the restaurant. I reserved a table via OpenTable 5 days before the date. When I got there, they had no open inside tables for me, despite my reservation. They had two tables that seated 4 inside, but it was supposed to be for a bigger party coming in a few minutes. They seated us outside at it was starting to get very cold. And it smelled like rotten eggs outside on the patio, due to the sulfur treatment for the water in the tubs and spas. I would have been fine if this was all that happened, but we saw no one take the inside reserved tables, and another party inside had left as well. We saw all this happen in the 10 minutes before the waiter even came by to ask us if we wanted to start off with any drinks. I was very irritated, so we decided to leave and go elsewhere for dinner. I will not be dining there again. But I will be going back for the hot tubs! Great service in that department.

I took my wife and two children to soak in one of the tubs. Customer service was fantastic. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that we didn't have control over the water temp and would have liked it a little hotter. A few times during our time there we could feel hotter water coming into the tub so I know it has to be possible. Besides that, great operation.

The Sycamore Mineral Springs is not omy a beautiful place to visit, but has romantically private mineral tubs for anyone looking to relax alone, spend some time with someone special, or kick it with some friends under a waterfall. Their staff is friendly and their amenities are endless. For anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to retreat to, this is the spot. Only 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from pismo, and 5 minutes from the beach. Will absolutely be visiting numerous times in my future and will recommend to my friends!

Very nice place! It's feels like you're in a different place in the world. The restaurant and bar are very nice and the hot springs are very relaxing. Definitely worth checking out!

We stayed in room 132 on the second floor of the building furthest up the hill. The accommodations were clean and the staff helpful and courteous. Our private mineral hot tub, the size of a jacuzzi, was outside our front door, behind a large wooden fence and latching gate that provided privacy. From the tub, we commanded a view of the hillside, extending up steeply from our position and covered in lush green foliage. During the course of our one night stay, I'm sure I spent upwards of 10 hours in the mineral spring fed tub. With my laptop perched on the side, we alternated between watching Netflix, and simply enjoying each other's company and the serenity of the nature about us. I haven't felt so relaxed in years. It was a truly romantic and revitalizing experience which I recommend to anyone having the opportunity to experience.

Service was slow and confusing. We were not seated for several minutes only later to be told it's pick your own table. Food tasted moderately above average but was priced much too high, and was a small portion.

The springs & spa were wonderful. And the staff is really nice. I'll definitely come back again for another spa day.
