I had a meeting in westenhanger in Kent last year and then joined a hangout on Google with the same company. The technical director explained that the future was in API's.
I then had an email conversation with someone based in high halden and am looking forward to a meeting in person tomorrow.

As far as I can see integration into larger billion dollar platforms for sme's could be very beneficial for grow and development. The branding and structure is established and allows growth.
I have installed an API into this platform so users can build on what has already been developed and freely add to it - I honestly think this is the way forward.
A lot of technical expertise has come out of Kent, England and am really enjoying meeting the people that have developed and create such excellent technology.

I am currently working on a YaCy project. This has involved setting up my own terminals at home into search peers. As I have a dedicated IP address on my home network it is pretty easy to open a port on my terminals and then transfer the dns record to home from my registrars name server by setting a simple A record.

So what is YaCy. In a technical article published on the BBC website YaCy is an open source project written in Java that enables search by interconnecting search peer terminals run by individuals around the globe and sharing index'd data from each peer into a search interface.

This simply means that there is no central server as you'd find with exciting search engines and it is not controlled by a unique company or individual. This is free world - meaning that it promotes freedom of information as nothing can be controlled from a central body as no one organisation is controlling the peer'd data that powers the search results. Freedom of Information and decentralisation of search is finally here.
