Kabir Helminski has been recognized as one of the most skilled and authentic translators of Rumi, and he is a spiritual teacher (shaikh) recognized by Rumi’s tradition, the Mevlevi Order. While he has been named one of the “500 Most Influential Muslims in The World,” he considers his most important contribution to be expressing the universal and practical aspects of spiritual development. Kabir is also a spiritual activist regularly writing for the Huffington Post, the Times of India,, and Tikkun. His books have been translated into at least nine languages.

In Sufism, the mystical branch of Islam, presence is the quality that describes a heart-filled state of mindfulness, an experience of being conscious in the present moment. It is only in this present moment, Sufi teachings reveal, that we can connect with the Divine, and the Divine can live through us.

In Living Presence, Shaikh Kabir lays out the basic principles of Sufism, and how these ideas can lead to the experience of presence. In this inspiring work, readers will learn how to cultivate presence in their lives through:

* Finding a balance between the outer stimuli of the world and our inner reactions to them
* Harnessing faithfulness and gracefulness
* Learning about the parallels between ancient spiritual wisdom and modern psychological knowledge
* Meditation and contemplation to discover more meaning in daily life

With unique clarity, this book describes how presence can be developed to vastly improve our lives.

Roberta Grimes is a business attorney with a degree in early Christian history. Following two experiences of light in childhood, she spent decades studying nearly 200 years of abundant and consistent afterlife evidence, and at length she developed a detailed picture of what happens at and after death.

Roberta’s The Fun of Dying was first published in 2010, and The Fun of Staying in Touch came out in 2014. When she realized that 2000 years ago Jesus had told us things about God, reality, death, the afterlife, and the meaning and purpose of human life that are amazingly validated by modern afterlife evidence, in 2015 Roberta published Liberating Jesus. Now she completes her FUN trilogy and builds upon the truths of Liberating Jesus in her beautifully simple The Fun of Growing Forever.

My guest is +SIMA GALANTI.
JUNE 21, from 2pm PST-2:30pm PST.
Call-in number: (646) 652-4616

Our Guest:

With a powerful message of hope, singer/songwriter Sima is making her musical debut with the album “This Is My Truth.” Sima takes on society’s limited perception with her song: BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS.

Her musical journey began in a room she shared with her older sister Janet in their childhood home in Israel. Being a huge fan of rock music, Sima’s sister exposed her to an array of classic, alternative and contemporary rock music, thus sparking her passion and desire to perform. At an early age, she honed her musical abilities and talent to pursue a life as rock singer. Her strong voice and inspirational lyrics made it apparent to everyone around her that she had something profound to share. She realized that she wanted to do more than entertain – she wanted to use music as a tool to reach out and inspire others. Knowing that the U.S. was the pinnacle of success for so many music artists, she made the decision to leave Israel and move to Manhattan, NY to cultivate her music career. Although it was extremely difficult for her to leave her family and friends behind she felt strongly that achieving her dream would also fulfill her life’s mission. After she settled into her new home in the US, Sima met two young producers from London – Diego and Aaron Knight, who believed in her and her talent as a singer and songwriter. Together they provided her with unyielding encouragement and support. For the next two years, she focused all of her time and energy on songwriting and developing a solid singing style.
