Until school is out for the 2014-2015 year. Not that I am counting. What am I looking forward to the most? Not planning for "sharing" on Mondays. Not setting out the kids clothes every night. No homework, panicked evenings if we have activities and no school lunch stresses.

Breckenridge in the summer, looking for a new way to visit Colorado, try staying at Beaver Run Resort with you, your mate... or even a whole family reunion!
My father brought me here when I was 16 years old for vacation and I fell in love. I turned and looked at him while I was staring out the window of the cedar lined cabin watching the rain fall and said, "Daddy, when I grow up, I am going to move here" He nodded at me like any good parent and ...

Go and do something for everyone on vacation.
When you live in a great place like Colorado, stay-cations are very common. Why leave the vacation spot of winter and summer when you can sneak up to the mountains for two weeks and not have to pay for flights. So, when I heard about the Digital Media Academy in Aspen, I realized that this is ...

Last year at the end of the ski season, my husband and I took a staycation to Copper Mountain. It was the last weekend of skiing and we thought we'd be REALLY good at it. We were NOT even slightly good at it. So we rode the ski lift up, then after an hour of trying to breath and really do ...

Blue Wings of Freedom
We called it the Blue M&M, years later the name changed
to Snorlax. (I even had this sticker on my car) It was a tiny blue Geo Metro that fit 3 children and two adults
quite snug; however it fit a family of 4 just right. One mom and three kids. That was all...
Sometimes I would take all three of my kids and other times I would go alone. I'd get the car ready the week before, vacuumed, scrubbed and check the engine. Then the packing would begin, enough for bedding, clothes and some snacks because the money I had was just enough for fuel to get there ...

I have a confession. I am not native to Colorado. Please don't flog me for that, I got here as fast as I could. My father brought me here when I was 16 years old for vacation and I fell in love. I turned and looked at him while I was staring out the window ...

Introduction
Life is an adventure, live it!!

I love my large family, I have been writing about them and life for the past 6 years. It's a blessing to do what I do.

Work outside the home and live happily with my family inside it. I believe in rules, hugs, dancing around the house to silly songs and teaching my children how to be productive members of society, NOT teaching them how to be "my" kids.
Bragging rights
I have 7 kids, I am married to my VERY best friend and the love of my life. I love to write, to talk about my family and to do things I've never done before

My family and I have been going to Mile High Farms since there was a large pirate ship in a field. It's our favorite pumpkin patch in Colorado and we've been to them all over the years. The cute houses, the castle maze and of course seeing all the animals year after year makes it special. So does that fact that they are always adding new things. There are tire swings, tents to hide out under when it get too cold, face painters, food and a COOL maze to travel in that is not "easy". It is full of fun things to do and the people working there are just as great. The kids in the field helping cut the pumpkin's when you find the one you love (and keep the spiders off the fingers of little kids) and helping carry the extra large pumpkins to the wagon. It's a family establishment and a tradition for my family that I am looking forward to continuing.
