The article mentions how SMS texting is the preferred way of sexting for most. I'm not sure about the US but I'm from Singapore and here, WhatsApp and other similar IM apps have far overtaken SMS in terms of usage. This changes the texting dynamic somewhat because these apps often report whether the other person is in the midst of typing a message or has read your message. Thus, you can get a far better idea of what the other person is thinking about. For example, someone who types, deletes, retypes something multiple times before finally sending it probably is far more interested than they might otherwise let on.

Have we done this one? Halfway through I started reconsidering my stance on all that praying stuff.

It must be pretty weird to be a scientist who believes in faith healing.

This summer I will mostly be getting a trucker's tan, thanks to only one arm being in the sun whilst sitting by the window in the office. Hawt.

It feels lazy to share an Observer/Sedaris piece from this weekend, but just in case you missed it.
My favourite line: The taxidermist said, completely unnecessarily: "Now there's a story behind this." For what human limb in a Waitrose bag is not without some sort of story?

I have nothing to share but a problem. Is anyone using the Readbility plug-in for their browser, and is it working? Mine is not.

New York recommendations: I want them. Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Ground Zero need not apply.

The Coney Island freak show is pure America. If you're in Brooklyn, Henry Public does amazing brunch. This is the pastrami 'sandwich' I had at the Carnegie Deli: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150241374837077&set=a.10150241371217077.323292.596797076&type=1&theater

This reminded me how much I hate WALL-E. I am a robot with no feelings. ("ironic", says Alanis)

Dreadful. Promise to turn up, then lie that they're five mins away. They once did this for an hour, leaving me stranded at 1am in South London.
