Hi everyone, I've just joined your community, so I'm introducing myself. I'm Susan Stephenson, an educator from Australia. I reach out to teachers, parents and librarians through my blog, www.thebookchook.com, where I share lots of resources, tools and ideas. My passions are for children's literature, literacy and learning - and having fun with it! I also regularly review iPad apps and children's books.
I read an interesting article in the June Issue of My Child magazine. With the ever increasing popularity of Pinterest, parents are placing more pressure on themselves to host a "social media worthy" birthday party for their child. The article was a good reminder to enjoy the moment with your child and embrace a simple and more eco-friendly party, while still having fun.
