Can you even imagine what this ice cream must taste like?! The cream is wood smoked on a BBQ grill and stirred into thick dulce de leche. Finely chopped caramelized pineapple chunks raise the bar. Go get it!
Use your grill to up your no-churn ice cream game. Smoked Caramel Pineapple Ice Cream brings no-churn ice cream to a new level!

Make the lobster and crab chowder whether you're having a cozy night in with loved ones or entertaining friends with an elegant meal. It's fabulous!!!
Winter comfort chowder loaded with lobster, crabmeat, and potatoes. Elegant enough for a starter dish at a dinner party, rustic enough for a family meal.

What a stunning combination of flavors - apples, delicata squash, and fig jam! It's easy to make, and disappears immediately! #apples   #squash   #tart   #easyappetizer   #appetizer   #vegetarian
Apple Delicata Squash Tart is super simple to put together. Slice both and lay them on puff pastry spread with a little fig jam. Bake and enjoy!

Spiralizing isn't just for zucchini zoodles! Use that new spiralizer for sweet potatoes and apples too. Saute them up with a little butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger -- and throw in some dates at the end. So, so good!! #SundaySupper http://thewimpyvegetarian.com/2016/09/spiralized-sweet-potatoes-and-apples-with-dates-sundaysupper/
Spiralized sweet potatoes and apples sautéed in brown butter with caramelized onions and dates. A little brown sugar and warming autumn spices complete it.

Story
Tagline
1 Omnivore + 1 (Mostly) Vegetarian = One Fabulous Meal
Introduction
A few years ago I left the sales and marketing world I'd thrived in for decades, to go to culinary school to see if I could create a more meaningful life for myself around food. I didn't know where it would lead, but it felt like the right 'next step'.

Since graduating, I've taught cooking classes in Marin and San Francisco for organizations such as the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) and College of Marin, and won several recipe development contests on Food52 and Whole Foods websites. In September 2011, I launched my blog, The Wimpy Vegetarian, about moving my diet to one that is mostly vegetarian, while married to someone who insists on meat being the main event.
