Is it the web designer's responsibility? I think not...they thought differently. #websiterankings #websitemanagement
As I implied in my article I lived and breathed SEO...I literally loved it! Now I do not rely on it or focus on it that much. Instead I prefer to place emphasis on social media marketing and have natural likes and URL shares.
As far as web design businesses picking up their leads locally and not online, that is the furthest from the truth for my own business. I live in an extremely rural area...many would call it the Australian outback. I go to 'town' approx. once a month for supplies.
My clients 'find' me online through search. My recent client is from Arizona.
So I don't know how much truth there is in that guru statement. ;)
I have been looking to see if this has been asked before, but I can't find anything and I am not sure what to do. I helped set up (as a manager) a Google+ page and local listing for a business/client and today she received an email from Google saying this...
We’d like to inform you that Google Places no longer accommodates more than one authorised owner per business location. Your account contains one or more listings that have been identified as duplicates of other listings and as a result, some of the information that you provide will not be shown to Google users any more.
To get more information or request access to the other listings, please log into your Google Places account.

My question is, "What do I do?!" I haven't seen this before. Thanks anyone and everyone!
I have always considered guest blogging for seo a step up from blog networks. Over the years I have had many people request me to publish their unique content with their website link embedded. Many I rejected because I didn't want to link to them. So I am glad I only linked to sites I wanted my visitors to visit...after reading this article from .
Today, the same people now want to remove their link. Not that I mind...I still have the unique content on my niche sites without having to link to their website anymore. I only ever accepted high quality websites to link to, however I do wish I never had. The time spent posting and now removing could have been time better spent!
I never recommended my clients to do guest posting either as to me it always looked spammy anyway.
What are your thoughts? Did you request guest postings from webmasters for backlinks?
