Spent a few days in the northern part of the Bruce Peninsula here in Ontario this past week. A stunning landscape with some very interesting creatures a few of which I had some close calls with. For the first time I saw a large Black Bear, who happened to be heading down the path I was planning on taking (I went a different way after that, just in case). A Massasauga Rattlesnake decided to sun himself along our path and we happened to startle it and ourselves but luckily no bites. I had an up close encounter with a Turkey vulture which I scared right out of a tree branch a couple feet away (man are they big up-close). I've been up there many times but never have I seen these animals before. It was my lucky week I guess. Here are a few shots of where we camped and our lovely rattlesnake.
