"So, if you are committed to loving someone, realize that part of the whole deal is the work that the back end of the relationship takes. Lasting love is not only about the cute and easy part. Sometimes love stinks. Sometimes you have to pick up something you’d rather let lie. And sometimes you really ought to leave something behind. Love takes commitment, just like the back end of the puppy."
There are a lot of ways to explain why commitment is so important in lasting love—especially in marriage. This is my favorite. Think about puppy love. Many people understand what it is like to have a strong, immediate react...

"The counseling profession has embraced a wellness perspective throughout its history, but the concept continues to evolve as today's counselors explore what it means for clients to become truly 'whole'."

The app was developed by the Dana Farber Cancer Institute staff of registered and board-certified dietitians and designed to help find the optimal diet for any type of cancer. It also offers users the ability to search by common symptoms (such as nausea or mouth sores), helping to customize dietary needs while going through treatment. There are also recipes and healthy eating tips for cancer survivors or anyone who would like to create healthy food choices.

"Of the 19.6 million veterans in the United States alone, approximately 3.6 million have a service-related disability, 7.6% are unemployed and they collectively make up 13 percent of the adult homeless population, according to the Independent Voter Network.  Organizations worldwide are helping veterans heal their wounds through farming and agriculture.  The goal is to create a sustainable food system by educating them to be sustainable vegetable producers, providing training and helping families rebuild war-torn lives.

Eat the Yard, in Dallas, Texas, was founded by Iraq War veterans James Jeffers and Steve Smith to cultivate fresh produce in community gardens.  The two began organic farming in their own backyards for both therapeutic and financial reasons, and then slowly began to build more gardnes in their community.  They now sell their produce to local restaurants and businesses.  The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is working with veterans across the U.S. to transition them into agriculture.  The coalition partners veterans with mentors experienced in farming and business, matches them with agriculture-related job opportunities and organizes equipment donations in Iowa and California.  FVC is helping former members of hte armed forces in 48 states."
Food Tank brings you 21 organizations from around the world that are working to help veterans heal their wounds through farming and agriculture.

I was originally trying to work with another dessert shop to place an order for some cakes and a dessert table for my wedding, who didn't seem to have time for me because they were always too busy with other orders. I tried a couple of other places that never answered their phone or called me back, or who were completely closed down despite their listing and hours of operation on Google. Anyway, when I called The Dessert Lady and got a hold of Patty, I was immediately pleased. She seemed so flexible and told me to walk in and she'd help me. She gave me some samples of her different cakes to try, all of which were INCREDIBLE. Her cakes are moist and dense. She helped me create a custom order and her prices are very reasonable, and she is going to have everything delivered the day of the wedding. Couldn't be more pleased!
