Same owners as the restaurant Lil' Frankies and the two restaurants have their similarities. First off it's some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted (this coming from someone with an Italian heritage). Everything feels very homemade and fresh. I personally liked Lil' Frankies better but they do have different things on the menu. Just a heads up, it is very small, tables are cramped but I still think it's worth it. CASH ONLY and make reservations before going.

One of my absolute favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants. Delicious Italian comfort food, it's cash only so come prepared. Most of the pastas are homemade. Very rustic atmosphere. Has a big enough space for birthday parties and at the same time feels very intimate. They also serve a great brunch with pasta and egg dishes. Delizioso! Al Dente!

Our party of five was led down long narrow stairs to a deep basement room, dimly lit and decorated with Catholic religious images. I loved it - very romantic, great place to take a date, I think. We found the service perfunctory -- no smiles but no disappearing act either. This I also liked. I ordered "Perfection Carbonara" as it was the special and receives freshly shaved (at the table) black truffles when served. The truffles must have been those Chinese cheapies, as they had no taste or aroma whatsoever. I even put one in my mouth separately to try and get a hint of the taste, and it was not there. Later I went online and learned that this Chinese fungus that looks like black truffles is making its way into American restaurants. That was a big disappointment, and the dish itself was good but not outstanding. We were out-of-towners and did not know this place is cash only. They really should mention this beyond the tiny printed notice on the menu. We folks from the provinces are used to paying everything with plastic. I had to run out and find an ATM, and the limit it would give me ($200) was not enough, so I had to use another card and get more money from a different machine, since I had emptied the first one I used. One machine I tried was out of order. I worked up a pretty good sweat by the time I got back to the restaurant and the little basement room where my party waited patiently. Prices at Supper are very reasonable, so they do get points for not trying to soak you.

Good food, horrible service. Hostess could not seem less interested in her job. Took 4 people 5 min to clear 1 table. Waiters seemed annoyed by questions and requests for more drinks. We sat down to filthy silverware (as in chunks of food, not just water spots - how can you miss that?). I would give 0 stars if my brunch wasnt so damn good (polenta and poached eggs). Others got the blt (8), pancakes (7 because there should be 3in the order), two eggs (7). Overall not a bad brunch, but front house staff could really hold place back.

I have been here a couple of times for brunch. Food was very good and prices honest. The staff treated us very very well. We all enjoyed Supper and plan to go back. I definitely reccomend it! Enjoy!

Menu choices were great. We had the famous main menu Ragu pasta dish, short rib stuffed pasta (special) with a light veal stock sauce and veal scallopine. The hit of the meal was the Burrata Mozzarella appetizer. The cheese was warn and soft in side over thick sliced beef steak tomatoes and basil. The complementary bread was served with a white bean garlic infused spread - awesome within itself. Wait staff outstanding. This place is now the go to Italian restaurant in the East Village.
