If you want great braids and hair care. SUNU hair is the best place in Georgia. I was welcomed with a very friendly and professional receptionist. My Stylist introduced herself and I immediately felt in safe and professional hands. She listened and produced exactly what I was after. While I was in the chair, I looked around , I looked around and every client was getting something different , The whole experience was relaxing, enjoyable and I felt so special with the friendly team. I'm so happy to have found a very professional braiding salon, which is reasonably priced and offer an excellent service. You have to go for yourself it really is so good! Check out their website, they pretty much can achieve any hairstyle, it is really a one stop shop and they really take their time to listen to your request. And most importantly, my hair is not too tight. Thank you Fatima and your team, you found you a returning client. If you are in the Atlanta area, check them out its worth every penny.

This was the worst experience of African hair braiding I have ever experienced in my life! I went in for the most simple hairstyle offered ( 2 Goddess Braids). I explained to the stylist & the receptionist exactly what I wanted prior to me even sitting in the chair. She assured me that I would be satisfied. I trusted her . . No one can really mess up Goddess Braids. Once the loud ass braided was done . . I turned around to look in the mirror & I looked like a damn fool! This is a style that I had been getting every week due to my pregnancy. Never had I seen them look this way. They were shoulder length with big knots on the ends, lop-sided, centered in the middle of my head, & PACKED w/ gel. I immediately asked her to remove them so that I could go to another shop. I had already paid & honestly money wasn't the issue but, I had paid $50 for something that I would take out in a day. They did display good customer service & try to please me (besides her telling me all about time & braiding hair being wasted) but, once someone does that awful of a job, who really wants them to redo anything? Not me. I decided to tip the braider $25 for her time & the cheap ass hair & never returned.

Worst place ever! First off the workers are rude! They speak their language the entire time not even paying attention to what they're doing. The lady didn't even care that I told her my scalp is sensitive. Be ready for a lot of hair tugging and pain!!!!! I went to get crochet braids. They do not know how to do crochet. I came in with a lot of expectations thinking they're professionals but left looking like a crazy woman!!! I was charged $130 Please save your money and go somewhere else!!!!!!!

First, told me my hair wasn't long enough for cornrows which it is because I had just taken cornrows out before going into their salon. I showed them a picture several times of how I wanted my hair and it looked nothing like the picture I showed them. The size and spacing was absolutely wrong I got up and walked out in the middle of getting my hair braided. It's bad business to care more about the money then the quality of your services and braiders. The owner just walks around managing the braiders which I she should have told the braider that she was not braiding my hair in the style I requested. I will never go to this place again nor will I be referring anyone. Overpriced and under qualified !

First off let me say that if i could give this place a zero star rating i would! I have been coming to Sunu african braiding salon for a while now, but the last few times i came here the braiding has been awful. The prices and braiding have been inconsistent. The length of my braids was uneven due to them not braiding each braid down to the same length. Some of my braids was smaller than the others and "lop-sided". How can you ruin straight back braids? I really was unsatisfied. I feel like the prices are too high for them to do low quality work. The funny thing is that the braiders act like you supposed to just accept when they did not do a good job. AND when you tell them your not satisfied they will start to talk about you in French lmao. I will say the customer service is okay. The owner Fatima is always courteous and professional. My advice is, I wouldnt waste my time or money here!!! Their work is low quality compared to the competition.

I have been going to Sunu African Hair Braiding Salon for about 3 years now. I must say that when I find a place I like, I stick with it! That is truly the atmosphere here. They are so welcoming, warm, and provide excellent customer service. The shop is clean, and full of fun, music, and laughter. The team knows you there, and cares about the best look for you. Even when I can't decide my hair style, they walk me through it. The owner Fatima is always so professional, and makes sure that I get exactly what I came in for. Rather it is a sew-in, twists, wash/take-down, I go to Sunu! I give them 2 thumbs-up for sure, and 5 stars! I highly recommend that you go there for your braiding and weave needs!

Been getting my dreads twisted by the owner since 2005, I drive a simi truck all over the country and people always ask me where i get my hair done at, in which I always say (ATL) I have tried other places and I was always disappointed. The gel they used, (flake all over) just not tight enough or dreads all different sizes. If you want the best, especially for dreads, give Sunu Salon a try. The best place in Sandy Springs.

This salon has wonderful service with a wonderful staff!! My Marley twist were absolutely fabulous!! I love the fact that when I called I could get an appointment the same day!! The receptionist was such a sweetheart! I asked her as many questions as I could think of and she took her time and answered everything ! I was worried about my edges because they were week due to me constantly wearing sew-ins and relaxing my hair. But again the receptionist assured me that this would grow my hair back and not break the rest of the edges I had left off. When I got to the shop I was completely blown away. I read that some other reviewers said that their was a bad odor coming from the shop I didn't smell anything put the fresheners and oils they had burning in the shop. Anyway, when I got their the receptionist greeted me and introduced me to my stylist she told them about my edges and my concerns and they assured me everything would be ok. They offered me a shampoo and I greatly accepted even though I had just washed my hair I noticed they carried design essentials which I glad took them why not . The shampoo process was great they really get your scalp clean I felt like a new woman. The braiding process was even better it took about 4 hours which was great last time I got braids I was there for 12 hours and it didn't hurt at all. After they were finished the receptionist and the stylist offered me various products they carried to keep my hair healthy. This will be the only place I will be going for hair braiding !!! Shout out to Fatima and her team yall are the BEST!!!!!!!!!
