Holley Terminator EFI Systems: Fuel Injection in an Afternoon

Using what it learned designing high performance fuel injection components for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Holley developed its Terminator EFI Throttle Body Fuel Injection Systems. These systems deliver trouble-free performance and is completely self tuning—no laptop, no confusing software, and no engineering degree required.

At the heart of the Terminator EFI system is Holley’s innovative 950 CFM throttle body. It bolts to any square bore, 4150-style intake manifold. Its built-in injectors boast an 80 lb./hr. flow rate, good for engines making between 250 and 600 horsepower. The throttle body has connections for common Ford and GM transmission linkages.

Since most of the system is self-contained, hooking up the wiring harness is as easy as plugging together the clearly labeled factory-style connectors. Terminator EFI systems come with a handheld touchscreen programmer that enables ECU tuning via an intuitive setup wizard. After the initial tune is locked in, the system will begin to self-tune, constantly adjusting fuel parameters to always ensure the optimal performance level.

Terminator EFI Throttle Body Fuel Injection Systems are compatible with today’s modern fuels, plus Holley makes free tunes available for nitrous-fed and forced-induction engines. The system is flexible, allowing for future adjustments for planned upgrades. Major components also detach for service.

Holley Terminator EFI Throttle Body Fuel Injection Systems come with the throttle body and injectors, a fuel pump, fuel rail, ECU, tuning module, and all wiring and sensors required for installation. The throttle bodies are available in either a gray anodized or tumble polished finish.

As Seen on PowerNation TV: Winters Sidewinder Automatic Shifters

Winters’ Sidewinder Automatic Shifters are an excellent choice for street machines, drag cars, and off-roaders. The shifter’s jam proof ratcheting design allows drivers to slam into gear without fear of damaging the shifter mechanism. What’s more it’s mechanically impossible to accidentally shift into reverse from any forward gear while the vehicle is moving.

Winters builds its Sidewinder shifters to withstand the rigors of a race season, employing steel guard bars and rugged metal housings. The shifters are sold as a complete assembly with a console, mounting hardware, and a 5 foot linkage cable, Sidewinder shifters are available in both conventional and reverse shifter patterns for most popular domestic transmissions, including:

• GM TH350/400, 700R4, 4L80E, Powerglide
• Chrysler Torqueflite 727/A-904
• Ford C-4 and C-6, AODE, E40D

Winters also makes a lockout version of the Sidewinder Shifter, which features a collar that must be pulled up to shift in/out of reverse and park. Lockout shifters also incorporate a safety switch that requires the shifter be in the park position prior to starting the engine.

New at Summit Racing: King LS Performance Bearings

It’s clear that GM’s LS Series engines have picked up where the ubiquitous small block Chevy left off. Since builders are scrambling to squeeze more power out of the LS motors, King created performance rod and main bearings to ensure the stock block can keep up. 

King has two performance bearing series: the HP and the XP. The XP Series was designed for engines that see continued, sustained stress—think road and circle track racing. The HP Series is better suited to engines that endure quick, but high-load stress, e.g. drag racing. 

XP-Series Rod Bearings feature a 45 degree chamfer on the crank cheek side, and increased crush height for improved bearing-to-bore contact and heat transfer. 

XP-Series Main Bearings feature enlarged chamfered oil holes with 3/4 grooving to promote better oiling. They’re also narrowed to accommodate large radius crankshafts. XP-Series bearings work for all performance applications that use a forged steel aftermarket crankshaft.

King HP-Series Rod Bearings are a great choice for blown, turbocharged, NOS, and alcohol-fed engines. They boast a greater eccentricity for superior oiling at high rpm. They’re available with or without dowel holes. 

King’s HP-Series Cam Bearings are constructed from seamless steel tubing, with a thin layer of lead based Babbitt material to reduce microscopic deflections. A special casting process is used to double the bearings’ tensile strength. More importantly, the unique surface design helps retain engine oil on the bearing to mitigate the risk of momentary oil starvation.

Weiand oil pans were a common sight on drag race cars back in the 1960s. Then, they kind of just disappeared.

Now Weiand has brought them back in the form of these Oil Pan Packages. Weiand did the hard work of matching oil system components for you—the packages include a fabricated oil pan, oil pump pickup, oil pan gasket, and pan mounting hardware. The oil pans feature:
• Trap door baffles to help keep oil under control during hard acceleration
• Increased oil capacity 
• Gold iridite or black finish

Summit Racing carries Weiand Oil Pan Packages for these engines:

Just Politicians, disconnected, making rules, don't care who or what it affects in the outside world, let's just put a few hundred companies out of business with the swipe of a pen, and a couple million people in the unemployment line, not to mention all the weekend enthusiasts left with no outlet !!!
