The Sharks and Winter Camp children have had a chance to participate in some fun activities this week. On Wednesday, they went to Bedner's Farms, where they got to ride around the area, see and touch different fruits and vegetables and even pick some strawberries. They had an amazing time learning about the food that we grow here in Florida.

Today, a number of our classrooms did a nature hike and exploration around our playground. We found a variety of things, including a variety of leaves, a caterpillar hiding in the mulch and a lot of lizards. While we didn't see any of the creatures in the picture below other than the curly tailed lizard, all of these critters have been seen around Summit at one time or another (and the picture doesn't even include the two litters of baby bunnies we found a Spring or two ago). The children really enjoyed their nature experience today.
