'October 2016'
We booked this Hotel as it provided Disabled Facilities as my Wife is immobile awaiting a knee replacement. The room was equipped with a wet style shower room,a single and double bed which made life a lot easier for both of us. The breakfast and service could not be faulted.

" A lovely over night stay"
4 things are important to us when staying in a hotel. Cleanliness, comfortable beds, good showers & a good breakfast. The Summerhill Hotel did all 4 to an excellent standard. The bedding and towels were brilliant white, the bathroom was spotless with a fabulous large shower, and the bed was very comfortable.

There is a good choice for breakfast and the full english was really filling.

We found the hotel to be lovely and quiet and the owners were really friendly. We travelled by train and so walked from the station, which took about 15 mins. It is uphill, so a taxi may suit others, and costs less than Β£4,00. There is ample parking and it is only a 5 minute walk downhill to the beach.

As a base for a weekend visit before taking the steam train to Dartford, it was ideal. If we were to visit the area again, we would definitely stay here again.

Can't really find enough superlatives to use for this hotel. Absolutely first class. Everything about it is top notch from the furniture and fittings to the food, staff and setting. Situated in a very pleasant and quiet neighbourhood and close to Goodrington Sands Steam Railway stop it is ideal for town and anyone wanting to visit the heritage steam railway. I had to call them a few hours after I left as I left an item in our room. They had it in the office and offered to return it the next working day. Very impressive on every level.

'Memories of happy family holidays'
After many years we returned to the Summerhill Hotel in Devon. The welcome we received was just so friendly. Better than ever is the feeling we had after our stay. We can\'t reccommend this hotel highly enough, we really can\'t. Excellent room, beautiful food, and so friendly staff, and all in one of the best holiday/short break locations in the country. You couldn\'t ask for more. We\'ll be going back again, not just for the happy memories but because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Enough said!

'It's all about the people..'
When booking, the staff were extremely helpful in addressing my elderly mothers mobility needs. When we arrived they continued to be very helpful, friendly and understanding. The rooms were traditionally comfortable, breakfasts good and in-room facilities very adequate. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

'Absolutley perfect!'
We stayed at Summerhill for 2weeks with our grandchildren aged 8&10yrs. We arrived to such a warm welcome with coffee and biscuits, juice for the children. Our rooms were lovely and clean, tea, coffee hot chocolate and bottled water available every day. Rooms cleaned every day. Comfy beds fresh towels and toiletries.
Summerhill is a beautiful house and only a five minute walk to the beach.
Breakfast is something to look forward to, excellent food with plenty of choice and enough to keep you going until lunch. We had packed lunches made and they were fantastic well worth it if you intend to be out and about or spending the day on the beach.
Our grandchildren loved the games room and had to have a game of pool most evenings.

This is a nice welcoming family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble and their aim is to ensure you have a truly enjoyable stay.

Thank you so much for making our holiday even better.
I know we shall be back and we can\'t recommend this hotel enough.
