Loved this place! Great food, Great service, amazing Kao Soi, Moo Yang, Crab Curries are among my favs, very nice environment. We arrived no reservation in a Friday night, they accommodated us pretty fast. Very reasonable price

I ordered the yellow curry chicken, spicy coconut soup (i forget the name), asparagus/mango/cream cheese roll and fried banana for dessert. -The best part of the meal was definitely the yellow curry chicken. The curry was sweet and flavorful. If you're not into slightly sweeter curry, it might not be for you. -The roll was nice. It had some nice spice from the jalapeno and sweetness from the mango, but it didn't wow either of us. -Spicy coconut soup wasn't the best we've had, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, I'd say Summer Summer is a decent place. Their prices are a bit higher than your typical thai place, and you might get a hit or miss on some of the items.

Always great food. Service is sometimes a bit lackluster e.g. they say they don't have Brown rice after they've cooked your meal
Response from the owner - 7 months ago
Hi Liam, Thanks so much for your feedback. We will make sure that this will not happen again in the future. Sorry for the late reply.

Literally the worst Thai that I've ever been served in a Thai restaurant. I know Thai. I trained with a famous Thai chef. This is just plain bad. My experience: --Pad Thai was absolutely flavorless. The sauce lacked tamarind. It lacked sugar. It lacked fish sauce. In other words, it lacked pad Thai sauce. --You should not have to cut the noodles with knife. They came to the table as a gelatinous mass that had to be cut with a knife. And after cutting, they were so chewy that it was like eating a rubber tire. --The fried tofu tasted like it had been fried in VERY old rancid oil. They seriously need to clean their fryers. --80 degree day, and the AC was off, and doors closed. It was sweltering inside. I ate perhaps 1/4 of my meal, and they offered to box it up for me to take with me. I love Thai. But I dropped the box in the first trash can that I came across after leaving the restaurant. I thought perhaps my experience was unique, because I'd been given rave reviews. But since my visit 2 days ago, I've spoken with two coworkers who were at Summer Summer on two different days, and they had the very same experience and swore they would never go back. One reported flies landing on her food throughout her meal. This was my one and only visit. I won't try it again. They won "Best Thai Food in San Francisco" in 2008. Apparently things have changed.

The ambience and decor is pretty good. But you can get the same quality food for about 15% cheaper elsewhere.

Husband and I were in town for business, we were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, they were near by on the Google maps, called to ask if they delivered here and they said yes. We called around 4:30pm and the person who picked up told us they don't start cooking until around 5:30 pm. that was fine and we waited. At 5pm, they showed up, we were surprised. The food tasted good, but that night we got sick, just gassy and lots of little poops. I'm thinking they just cooked up some older ingredients and sent it to us to get our order out of the way. We ordered the shrimp pad see ew.

Hi Sophia, I am very sorry to hear that you might had gotten sick from our food, but please be sure that we always use freshest ingredients for any of our dishes. About the timing issue though, I think what we meant to say was that we start our delivery service at 5:30pm, but sometimes we show up earlier due to your distance from our location which was really close. Please let me know your phone number and I will get some food credit to you, so if next time you are in town again you could give us a second try. Please email your information to Thanks so much

Great atmosphere, service and food. My all time favorites are the Ponzu Tuna, Spicy Salmon Bowl and the Issan Classic, can't get enough of them. Be sure to try the Miang-Kam, it is a savory treat packed with a punch of jalapenos, lime and sweetness. Service has always been super friendly and attentive. However, I must warn you, if you are looking for authentic Thai food this is not the place to go. It is worth a try though!

Great Thai. Fresh and clean. Nice staff put a lot of love in their dishes. Prices are fair, too.
Response from the owner - a year ago
Thanks Christopher for sharing the love! We are happy to hear that, we are adding many more items later in this year. Be sure to check back often for more delish dishes.
