A black bear was spotted wandering around on our lawn last evening by our guests! They were sitting on the upper deck at the time as the bear meandered from the stream down to the farmhouse. We can't wait to see him again to try and get a picture or video!

Until we get a new picture, here is one from a while back.

+Chloe Tuttle I think BB.com still accepts them. I have a handful left and they seem to be disappearing.

What a wonderful weekend we had! Dick, Hayden and Tim were such welcoming hosts, serving delicious breakfasts and attending to their guests with meticulous care. The house is roomy, inviting and beautifully decorated. We were truly pampered. Looks like a spring trip is in order.

The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm is so beautiful and welcoming. My mother, cousin and I stayed over Thanksgiving in the Shenandoah suite. It was very comfortable for the three of us. We enjoyed the large fireplace, it made the suite extra cozy during the chilly days. We loved the breakfast! Especially the poached pears with cranberries. Our stay there was so lovely, we can't wait to come back.

This was our very first Bed and Breakfast experience and I have to agree with everyone that Dick and Hayden Cabell are two of the best hosts ever. Dick has some great recommendations for food and sight seeing. My wife and I never would have made it to the reservoir and to all the hiking there if it was not for his directions and recommendations. Their house is so wonderful we did not want to leave at all. The breakfast was excellent and was a perfect start to our day. Watching the young deer come through and play as well as the foxes run through after our walk was very entertaining. It is good to know that the deer are a little comfortable with the property. They will just stop and stare at you with that "what are you doing here" look...lol. Beautiful views in all directions and very close to Charlottesville and the local vineyards as well. To Dick and Hayden Cabell - Thank you so much for your hospitality and having us in your home!!! Hayden and Dick are superb hosts and insured every aspect of our visit was perfect. The Inn at Sugar Hollow is nicely situated for a quiet and relaxing get away but also close to may interesting activities. The suite was large, beautifully appointed and very clean. Breakfast is very delicious and served on lovely china- this is truly a five star B&B! Look forward to returning!

My wife and I had a fabulous time at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm. We stayed at the beginning of March and were greeted with a 6" snow fall to accompany our stay. We stayed in the puppy pad which is a room in the house separate from the main house. This house is used for those who have dogs. The puppy pad has a kitchen and dinning room included which was super nice to have considering the weather. The only complaint we had was that the stove in the kitchen didn't work and there were not any basic kitchen supplies for guests. Online the kitchen was advertised as being a full kitchen. Besides this minor issue the inn is a wonderful B&B.
