Sustainable living, transition towns, slow food, slower living. Work less, closer to home, get to know your local community and live richer more satisfying lives.
Of course the challenge then becomes - How on earth do you begin to grow even a few veggies when you don't know where to start. Step up local self employed people offering classes, training and support and arranging 'swap-meets' for produce. Not a bad start! (True local story BTW)
