Hello romance friends!

This coming Saturday, March 22nd is LOVE FEST, a day of romance panels at Virginia Festival of the Book.  Check out our exciting panels here.

You'll see and be able to get your books signed by authors like Laura Kay, Cathy Maxwell, Jennifer Armentrout, Sabrina Jeffries, Mary Burton, Deanna Raybourne, Gail Bennett, Alma Katzu, Nancy Naigle, Terri Osborne, me--Madeline Iva, Elaine Grant, Jodi Meadows, Alethea Kontis, Hope Ramsay, Tina Glasneck, Mollie Cox Bryan, Laurin Wittig and Nicky Penttila.  In addition, NYC agent Paige Wheeler, and publishing maven Jane Friedman will join in a panel on cutting edge publishing trends of the future.

Aside from these FREE panels and the amazing authors who are coming, we’re giving away an enormous amount of books (200lbs. of books from The Book Room!)--as well as gift baskets from our local swank shops and free food soup by Revolutionary Soup.  Barnes & Noble is giving away 12 boxes of Godiva chocolates and Capellini cupcakes are giving away cupcakes.

We think it will be smashing fun and hope you join us. Please help us get the word out–and please bring your friends!

We’ll see you there!

Guys! Buy our #Werechaun  book! It's going to be awesome!
Proving how fast things can happen in the 21st century, I teased my buddy Andy with a joke and now we're coming out with a really cool ebook just in time for St. Patrick's Day based on the concept. That concept? Were-leprecha...

Merry Nerdmas
Hope that you are having a Merry Little Christmas, if you celebrate it. Here at Chateau de London we're having a geeky good time. My nerd-cred is yet again supported by the things I've received. Action figures Hong Kong Phooey Captain America Rocket Raccoon...

That's awesome. But you need a Groot action figure to go with Rocket.

In case you wonder what I think I'm up to with the Haberdashers series (dramatic structure wise).
This graphic has been in my head for a long time and I've finally made it a reality. There are lots of ways you can look at three-act structure, but I liked this graphic to the structure the best. As you can see, I have a lay...

Did you know I was going to be on Nerd Lunch again? Doing a sequel to the "Turning Movies Into TV Shows" cast. Now movier and tvier! Wait, no... Something like that. Just give a listen. :)
CT and the boys invited me back to sit in for Nerd Lunch Podcast 120! Technically I was sitting in for Jeeg, but then Jeeg had to sit in for a Pax, so we just all piled onto one chair and started talking about the movies we w...

Have an opinion on traditional vs. self publishing? So do I.
Since everyone has had something to say in the recent kerfuffle over traditional publishing vs. self-publishing vs. I dunno, narwhals or something, I thought that maybe I should jump into the fray with my opinion. What is my ...

If you write a good story you're going to sell, no matter what format you follow.  I find more and more that I like the indie authors better than the traditional published authors - there just seems to be more creativity going on in the indie scene.  If I want to read another rehash of LotR or GoT then I'll buy a traditionally published author.  If I want something I haven't seen before I'll go indie.
