How can Social Media support the Workflow of BIM? How can the principles we've discussed be applied to the challenge of improving effective collaboration which BIM requires? This third video looks at an example of how it might work. I'd be interested in your thoughts.

That's a good point Conrad, we can use social media to break down the silos between construction and lay people. A good example of that in the UK is the Grand Designs TV show, where people watching use #granddesigns  to talk about the show on twitter whilst it's on. Construction professionals can (and do) share information and resources and join discussions using the hashtag, and also use their own #gdoh  (Grand Designs Other Half!) to talk to each other.

“For the vast majority of organisations their human capital is their most valuable and important asset… the workplace needs to be seen as an investment to unlock the value of this human capital.”
We begin a series of posts about workplace change by discussing the history of change in the workplace and how it can affect employee morale.

Do you work in Construction Product Manufacturing? Are you on Twitter? Take part in a live twitter chat with Steve Thompson, Chair of BIM4M2 (BIM for Manufacturers and Manufacturing) and find out more about what the group is doing to help manufacturers meet the challenge of BIM - including new tools specifically designed to help you.

If you're not a Twitter user you can still follow along using the #BIM4M2chat  Hashtag: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23BIM4M2chat&src=typd

Here's video 4 in our #SocialBIM series. This one includes some (all to rare) examples of how construction is currently using social media to democratise the process of building design and use. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
Thanks so much for your feedback on our videos so far, it has been really interesting to hear your comments and ideas. This is the fourth #SocialBIM video of a series I’m making with The B1M about social media and BIM. You can watch the video below or here on YouTube or on The B1M website.Using Social Media to talk about BuildingsIn this video we talk about the limited ways in which social media is used to talk about buildings. Another client blog post - being useful as always

In this post we will look at some of the most popular types of liquid waterproofing, investigate their main benefits and disadvantages and compare their performance. As you can see there is a wide range of products available, and some advantages and disadvantages to weigh up. As always we’re happy to provide you with advice on which products would best suit your particular project. Get in touch if you’d like to discuss the options with us.

Benn has been my hairdresser for over a year now, and that is unprecedented for me. I rarely feel comfortable at the hairdressers, but Benjamin Charles Hair is different. Benn sat me down and took the time to understand what I was looking for, answered all my questions and as a result I came away feeling great and with a great haircut to match! The salon is very friendly and for the first time in years I'm very happy with my hair. Benn has advised me on how to look after my style at home and even invited me to bring in my products so he could help me choose which ones were suitable for my hair. At Christmas time I welcomed advice for party hair, and he's taught me how to look after my hair colouring at home properly too. If you've struggled to find a hairdresser who is a human being, actually listens and really helps you feel a million dollars I'd recommend Benn and his team. I always look forward to my visits!
