Just posted to Styling Android: Prism Fundamentals: Part 2

Although additional features are on indefinite hold, I decided to continue publishing this series of articles as they document existing functionality within Prism. In this article we look at how to hook Prism up to a ViewPager and get some pretty cool behaviour for very little effort.

Just a quick reminder that there is no Styling Android post today. It's coming a day late (Saturday 18th July 2015) to coincide with the release of the Prism dynamic colouring library.

I'm working on a new Android theming library named Prism. There's still a little bit of work to do but I'm aiming to release it in mid-July. The GIF shows it in action being driven by a ViewPager - the only thing not being coloured by Prism is the text within each page of the ViewPager. It integrates fully with the new design support library and supports custom Views as well.

I'll be giving a sneak peek of Prism at the Londroid meetup this coming Tuesday http://www.meetup.com/android/events/223098440

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I must announce that updates to Prism (my recently released library) have been suspended indefinitely. This also means that I will be unable accept any pull requests until further notice.

The reason for this suspension is an infringement of my intellectual property and I have been advised to suspend updates in an attempt to minimise any further infringements whilst I pursue the matter through legal channels. I would dearly like to share details of those responsible, but have been advised that this may prejudice any legal process.

It is such a shame that I have been forced in to this position as there are some really exciting features that were going to be added. But I now cannot sae when, or even if, these will ever be released.

Some trolls are stupid enough to destroy the bridge they choose to live under.

Au revoir, Prism.

Prism is here!

In the first article in a new series we take a look at the Prism library and look at how to begin using it.

P.S. For anyone wondering why this week's post is a day later than usual, I (+Mark Allison) wanted to release Prism on a date that would be easy for me to remember. So what better day than my birthday!

This week's Styling Android post was actually posted from here.

Also for completely different but totally selfish reasons next week's post is going to be a day late: on Saturday 18th July.

I am delighted to announce that I am now a Google Expert for Android. It's a proud moment for me but humbling to be joining a programme with such brilliant people.
