So I got a letter back from the Sony repair company, typically vague, saying it'll cost £78 to repair the Smartwatch.. (Sony SW2)
I don't think so!....
Hey ho.

So, given that it was an experiment in Wearables, have you decided what you want to go for next, if anything?

While I was working I went for a walk, Bournemouth was looking rather nice, especially the beach and pier.

yeah, if they did charge for it then they'd need to charge a lot less than for a balloon ride, and considering on the balloon you've less steps to climb...

Latest horror, probably the worst I've seen for blatantly ignoring any safety..
This old single fuse carrier was supposed to be supplying an electric shower.. It was, but it was also supplying the ring main feeding the new conservatory... Hence the there cables... Hence the heat build up and scorching!
The fuse carrier holds an old style Hrc fuse... Unsurprisingly this has blown do Mr bodger has fashioned a good by using a bit of 2.5mm cable for a fuse!
Just for good measure, the earth cable wasn't connected and just feel out...
All this supplying a shower!
Apparently the guy fostered kids....... Heavens...

I bought some Oakley Crosslink switch glasses last year. Very good except the bridge part is a fixed width and was not comfortable on my nose... They kept slipping down etc...
After much head scratching I concluded it was because the lenses were actually quite heavy (unlike the shop glasses with dummy lenses)
So, +Andrew Care Opticians sorted me out some super thin new lenses.
The difference is amazing, really didn't think the original Oakley lenses would be so thick (they only do one type).
Much happier, the glasses just don't feel as heavy and chunky now.
Conclusion, don't be tight when you get your glasses made, go for the thinnest you can from the get go!
That said, the Oakley lenses are hardly cheap....

+Christopher Spackman My prescription is R-4.25 L-3.75 , usually it's no problem, but these lenses are a decent size, so subsequently they are chunky monkeys!

One for #dorset locals!
Went back to Westover ice rink to do some work.... Some photos..
Testing the landlords areas, so plant and kit from under the rink..
Mostly old electrical kit and mechanical plant... But it interests me!
You may recognise the original entrance to the rink, slightly narrower now but original floor and one side still.
Then I went for jolly and found my way upstairs to the original cafe/toilets/disco type area... All very interesting and a little sad.

So, One for the Dorset locals.
Today I surveyed some work under what was the old Westover road ice rink.
Amazing space, totally underground, the 'Charging maintenance'  pic is because apparently there was a garage in the building, you drove in and there was a massive lift that took the cars up to the garage!
Old steels that age the place well, I'm guessing turn of the century by the old style rivets.
A big old pipe (2ft across!) that I believe was a heat exchange/water cooler..
And some lovely good old English electric/Bill switchgear that's clearly seen better days, the constant floods from above won't have helped.

The weather did a proper job on me, utterly soaked morning and afternoon....
Still, nice pick while dropping down to Shapwick from Badbury rings on the old roman road after the storm that caught me this afternoon.

So, remember I posted about my don't #Smartwatch 2 that just stopped working and now only displays "Flash FS"? (Yes, I've tried the usual fixes)
So I emailed #Sony support and eventually got this back...
Looks like the usual nonsense... I'm familiar with this as I went to war with Samsung over my S3 that just died....
Opinions please and please share with anyone who may help.
Many thanks.
Stuart
