I've just bought AudioBus and Loopy HD for my iPad2. I'm totally impressed that these two pieces of software transformed the iPad into a music making machine!  I don't think my kids will let me live down trying to beatbox, but it was tons of fun!!!!

The Lions Mane Jellyfish is the largest jellyfish in the world. They have been swimming in arctic waters since before the dinosaurs (over 650 million years ago) and are among some of the oldest surviving species in the world. The largest can come in at about 6 meters and has tentacles over 50 meters long.

Really interesting read on Google culture.

"Google+ is a knee-jerk reaction, a study in short-term thinking, predicated on the incorrect notion that Facebook is successful because they built a great product."
Stevey's Google Platforms Rant I was at Amazon for about six and a half years, and now I've been at Google for that long. One thing that struck me…

I don't prefer anything here yet! However the potential for not-evil-privacy problems is much less. Posting to circles and limiting the audience of certain posts is appealing (think how FB would be if you could invite all your work friends without fear certain ones would get wound up over a picture a friend took or a political rant). Finally the new huddle/messages feature that allows video conference calling could be a real killer - no more Skype, Facetime, Oovoo or other mickey mouse video chat... This is good for keeping in touch with the old folks in FLA

I got seasoned firewood from this company. For the most part the wood was dry enough to burn, with a couple of really wet heavy pieces thrown in from the bottom of their pile. I didn't do a moisture test yet, but knocking many pieces together it seemed like most pieces sounded dry. As far as volume, you definitely get a full cord and then some. I stacked the wood and definitely got my 128 cubic feet worth. I did ask how they seasoned the wood, and like just about everyone else they pile it up for about a year or so. Any accomplished wood burner can tell you that is no way to properly season wood, so in actuality the wood I paid for is probably only 1/2 way seasoned. My recommendation for buying wood from anyone in Connecticut is to buy "seasoned" wood in the Spring, store it exposed to sun/wind all summer and then it will be good to go by winter. 4 stars. 3 stars for excellent service, delivering the wood within 24 hours of my call, and 1 extra star for selling the seasoned wood at a reasonable price. They don't get a final star because the seasoning is a little suspect for immediate burning. Then again, I have yet to find a single local seller that does seasoning properly (stacked, exposed to wind/sun/rain for 18 months)

Expensive, but well worth it for the location and amenities. So close to old Montreal and the waterfront. Be sure to check out the jetboats nearby!

Excellent new car buying experience. Fair deal, completely honest, and we were treated like rock stars on the day of pickup. Recommended!

Terrible, terrible service. Even if you take a day off work to go midweek, midafternoon when it is slow, the staff at Hoffman's are not customer service oriented. First of all, they stand around looking busy even when no one but me was in the store... maybe letting me browse? I dunno, but I stood at one counter for 20 minutes before someone came over to ask if they could help me. Then they would only take one gun out of the case at a time, when I specifically wanted to compare the handling of two guns. Something about insurance or something. Then they wouldn't let my wife hold the gun because she doesn't have a license. As far as I know there is no law in this state that says you have to be licensed to shoot a gun, only to purchase one. So she didn't get to hold it, and I really wanted her buy-in before I dropped $1k on a handgun. Don't even bother going in on a Saturday or Sunday, they are so busy you should only go if you have a few hours to spare (for waiting) and know exactly what you want. I took my business elsewhere.
