I highly recommend Dr Strong. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes his time to make the correct diagnosis. I had been suffering from eye problems (redness, intense burning, etc) for months my usual eye dr couldn't figure out what was going on. I decided to see Dr Strong for a second opinion and he found my problem the first time. My eye is back to normal and I'm so grateful to Dr Strong.

UPDATE: In summary, due to some initial unpleasant interactions by 'new employees' at the office as well as billing/communication mishaps by these certain staff members, I initially gave a low star rating - but have corrected this to 5 starts to reflect that Dr. Strong contacted me directly after this incident to help resolve the issue professionally and courteously. It's easy to write a high rating when everything goes right, but giving a high rating after issues arise and now resolved speaks to the fact that Dr. Strong does respond and care for his patients ... and appears that he will instruct these new employees to raise them to the higher bar/standard that he himself demonstrates and expects of his office. Will now definitely keep going to (and recommend) this office for future care because of Dr. Strong.

I am sorry to hear of the problem with your bill. I am also troubled to hear my billing specialist was not respectful. That is not the typical feedback I get about her, but I will make sure she meets my standards of kind, respectful care. It seems the problem is your medical insurance did not cover a routine eye exam. Usually if you have separate vision insurance, your medical insurance will refuse to pay for a routine visit. Vision insurance covers a limited, routine exam with an optometrist, but will not cover the more detailed exam by an ophthalmologist such as myself. I have no contracts with vision plans and cannot bill them. Even more confusing, if you don't have vision insurance, sometimes your medical plan will pay for a routine exam! We inform all patients of this confusing insurance company policy, by a large print sign at check-in stating we cannot accept any vision plans. We also provide a short and easy to read information sheet on the topic that all new patients are asked to read and sign, to try and avoid confusion. This is equally frustrating to our office, as this insurance policy is out of our control. In this case it seems we could have found some better way to communicate the limits of your insurance. I understand your frustration, and would be happy to discuss a reduced fee for the services you received.

Dr. Strong is a very intelligent, highly competent ophthalmologist. I was quite fortunate to cross paths with him as patient for a specific eye problem. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone seeking eye care in the Metroplex.

I went to visit this doctor based off reviews. However he told me that I had 20/20 vision which in fact I know I don't . Lol I can barely see things not sure if its that tech who didn't test me right but I am sure I need prescription glasses I had them when I was a teenager and just stopped wearing them . So I'm only going to go with 2 stars since I'm pretty sure I was diagnosed incorrect . I will try in search for a different eye doctor with great reviews and see my outcome because I am really having a hard time seeing things at a distance and sometimes up close . Thanks though.

Awesome, just awesome. I am a very particular consumer of medical treatment, and I have been more than impressed with Dr. Strong, and his staff. He discussed, in full, alternative surgical treatments, and guided me to my choice. His "eyeside" manner is excellent, and I had more than full confidence in his knowledge and competency. Couldn't have had a better experience. Finally, I came to Dr. Strong because I had had a very bad experience with another Opthamologist. Could not have made a BETTER choice.

I can honestly say that Dr. Strong is the best eye doctor I have ever visited. I went in for a yearly exam and because I was having a problem with extremely dry eyes. When I walked in, the office was quiet and pleasant, and the receptionist was very helpful. I loved the nurse, and Dr. Strong did a very thorough exam and addressed all the concerns I had. I really appreciated that he didn't rush in, take a quick look, and answer my questions while walking out the door like most doctors do these days. When I go to see my dermatologist, I'm lucky if she will stay in the exam room for 90 seconds. Not so with Dr. Strong. He did not make feel at all rushed. He suggested a new kind of contacts and eye drops to help with my dryness, and even gave me a trial pair of the contact lenses and a bottle of the drops to try for no extra charge! The thing that really impressed me though was when I called today, about 2 weeks after my office vist, with a question for Dr. Strong, fully expecting to leave a message or speak with the nurse as I normally do when I call a doctor's office. But much to my surprise, the receptionist actually told me that Dr. Strong would speak with me on the phone, and lo and behold, he did!! Never in all my experience of calling doctors' offices has the doctor actually taken the time to speak with me, a lowly patient, on the phone. I didn't think ANY doctor would do that since the attitude in most medical offices now seems to be that patients should feel lucky to speak the physician for half a minute during an exam and that if they want to speak with the doctor for another half a minute, they can just make another appointment and pay for another visit. Dr. Strong is the very rare exception to this rule. As long as I live in Dallas, he will be my eye doctor. I am never going to anyone else.
