We have all heard lots about AI (Artificial Intelligence) but should we now be calling it Augmented Intelligence or IA (Intelligence Augmentation). This term focuses on the fact that AI is designed to enhance human intelligence rather than replace it. http://ow.ly/VEW130iKjQY

Some of our team visited the Tedx Oxford conference this weekend and heard some fascinating talks on the subject of mental health. Topics ranged from positive influencers to identities, to acceptance and provided lots of thought provoking topics the team will be discussing.

Its the weekend and as we love everything to do with loyalty, rewards and also visiting one of the UK's greatest traditions, the pub we thought we would let you know about Ice. Over 47% of marketers believe AI is overhyped! Is it overhyped or maybe it just isn't clear enough how companies can start to use AI to get results. It might be overused but it definitely isn't overhyped. If you spend a lot on customer service and aim to deliver an exceptional personal customer experience every time or have vast quantities of data that could deliver valuable insight but you don't know where to start then AI is definitely for you.

We ran a series of team surveys last year to work out how we could improve the environment, management support, development and productivity amongst other things. The survey results gave us the ability to re-structure the team and to look at how we could include each member of the team in understanding the value their work delivers and their part in the bigger picture. Following a 2 year study Google found the following 5 things made up a high performing team:
1. Dependability.
2. Structure and clarity.
3. Meaning.
4. Impact.
5. Psychological Safety.

We probably all agreed with the first 4 but the last one is the most interesting. Being a small team we have always worked with this mentality but as new people join the team it is a good idea to make sure this works in practice rather than just being something that is said. The only thing that can bring psychological safety is trust. The main thing we are working on as a team this year is to be collaborative, communicative and open. Everyone in the team has a part to play and the ability to have an impact. http://ow.ly/va7p30hEUnb

Already the 9th Jan and we are little late saying Happy New Year. Apologies but it has been a very busy start to the year already. Pitching to two new clients this month, plus two new proposals for ongoing development and two new platforms to launch later this month! Updates shortly on how we get on. Christmas and New Year feels like a distant memory already but we are ready for it.
