Blood Red Moon Lunar Eclipse Sequence
This is the first of several lunar eclipse sequences I shot earlier this week. They are difficult to assemble with the moon in exactly the proper place in the sky throughout the entire eclipse, but I am finally done with this first one. More info is available here: http://www.landscapeastrophotography.com/lunar-eclipse-blood-red-moon-sequence-over-joshua-tree-national-park/ Cheers and thanks for looking!

HONOLULU — A 16-year-old boy stowed away in the wheel well of a flight from California to Hawaii on Sunday, surviving the trip halfway across the Pacific Ocean unharmed despite frigid temperatures at 38,000 feet and a lack of oxygen, FBI and airline officials said. ; FBI spokesman Tom Simon in Honolulu told The Associated Press on Sunday night that the boy was questioned by the FBI after being discovered on the tarmac at the Maui airport with n...

Lunar Eclipse Over the Trona Pinnacles

Not satisfied with how the rock formations in Yosemite lined up with the lunar eclipse on Monday night, I drove down to the Trona Pinnacles, in the Mojave Desert near Ridgecrest, California. +Claudia Welsh and I spent the night there photographing this long sequence of the moon before, after, and during the eclipse as it passed over a group of towers. You can read the full story about how I photographed and assembled this sequence on my blog:

http://www.michaelfrye.com/landscape-photography-blog/2014/04/17/lunar-eclipse-trona-pinnacles/

And I also want to give a big thank you to +David Hoffman for the use of his lens for this image. :)

What a bunch of assholes and the poor build quality isn't too surprising given the recent GT3 fires.  Hope this makes it to +Top Gear next season.

Umm... this place is weird but not in a good way. I think it has a lot of potential but the food tries too hard to be different and it's also far too complicated for it to be good. Deliciousness isn't a function of ingredient count and recipe complexity. We had a bunch of things made out of goat and some of it was almost good... almost. I really hope it improves. Service and the desserts were really good.

We come here every Wed for the ramen, which is by far the most authentic shoyu (and recently tonkotsu) ramen I have found in the cities. The broth, egg and chashu are perfect (the noodles are great too) and would be at home in any good ramen joint in tokyo. If you've never had proper ramen google for some pictures and then come to Fuji-Ya on Wed... it's pretty much the ideal food for the long winter. Sushi is quite good (although I've rarely had it) and the atmosphere in this place is very mellow and relaxed... there is no tacky neon and cheesy decorations. Service is usually very good with the exception of one guy.

Lived here for about a year. Location is nice, apartments are spacious and totally quiet. There are a ton of common areas like a kitchen/pub and multiple patios with TVs with all of the channels (but effectively no wifi). Management also organizes happy hours and building parties/events pretty regularly. All of the staff is amazing especially Krystal, Trevor, Krysztof and Tony and are very good at handling issues or questions. The maintenance team, Modesto and Eric, are very fast and also good with dogs (i.e. if something breaks I don't have to make special arrangements they come in subdue my dog with a few treats and fix the issue). The building is very dog friendly and we have everything from a micro chihuahua to giant Bernese mountain dog. A few annoyance: the elevators are rage-inducingly slow and the building layout makes it impossible to get to the garage using stairs; the garage leaks salty brine during the winter (maybe it's fixed now); concrete floors are a bit fragile; no usi gigabit even though it's everywhere else in uptown and they just started randomly charging $5 to use a check to pay rent... grr. Overall it's a nice place.

My dog is a bit hard to groom and usually groomers cut too much of his fur off. I was a bit cautious because of the other reviews but an acquaintance recommended it and I live across the street so decided to chance it. They did exactly what I wanted and he came out perfect and fluffy. It took around 3 hours which seems pretty standard to me. Yes the place could be a bit bigger but I suspect rent in uptown is quite high so whatever. Also for the people saying it's run down... meh... it's a dog groomer not a surgery so who cares if it can use a bit of fresh paint. Anyway would definitely take my dog here again.

Total trash. Download speeds are around 0.8 to 1MB/s (upto 1.7 sometimes) but upload is about 100KB/s which makes cloud usage or video chat pretty much impossible. Also they for sure throttled http traffic (i've compared scp vs http)... and YouTube. On the positive it's cheap and there is no contract and customer service is ok.
