Stonepocket back landscaping on this first day of spring.  Took a pile of rock and turned it into a work of art, future bench.  Nice to be outside again.  Happy Spring Everyone.

Landscaping in a Minnesota winter needs to be above the frozen ground. Here is our process of building a pergola in Eden Prairie during this past fall and winter. Thanks to Jeff Timm Construction and Minnesota Pergola.

Stonepocket April 2014 Plant of the Month
Not all spring color originates from flowers, other aspects of plants provide just as much color and interest.  Picea abies 'Acrocana Pusch' is a dwarf spruce that produces bright red cones in spring against lime-green new growth.  The combination makes for a striking display that few spring flowers can compete with.
