Go with the flow of the Saco River this summer in a canoe, kayak or tube! One of the country's most popular recreational rivers just minutes from the Manor.
Saco River canoeing, kayaking or tubing is the best way to spend a relaxing summer day enjoying the view while you beat the heat.

Michael's making a NEW drink called "Sophie Girl from UNCLE" made with Uncle Val's Gin, fresh mint, lemongrass and fresh squeezed lime juice.  Served very cold over ice. Come by and try one!

Bob and I just wanted to comment on the dinner we had on Monday night. It was possibly the best we have ever had at the Manor! The carrot ginger soup had a nice bite to it, spicy and sweet at the same time. I had the chicken roulade, which was cooked beautifully, a nice addition to the menu! Bob had the shrimp special which came with a watermelon salsa. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal saying the shrimp was well cooked and the side greens had a tasty dressing... and for me, I do not care for watermelon but the salsa was delicious!! Maybe I do like watermelon after all!! We also enjoyed the near by snow shoe trails, which were accessible from the Stonehurst property, followed by cheese fondue in the Library Lounge! All this combined into a great New Years get-away!!

The staff is friendly and the Manor is beautiful. The food is delicious, and the waitstaff is attentive, but not in your face. The room (33) is cozy and comfy. The bed us more firm than I personally like, but that is just a personal preference. There are some quirks because it is an older building ... heat can be loud, but that is not unexpected...put on headphones and you are good to go! The jacuzzi is great. So relaxing. Overall, we were very happy, and would stay again!

Stonehurst Manor is an old mansion but very well preserved, it gives you the impression of being in an old castle, our room was very clean, the food delicious and top quality, the receptionist very friendly, the surroundings very well maintained and a splendid view of The White Mountain. The price includes breakfast and dinner in the restaurant of the place which by the way is very nice, it is not a buffet. I want to emphasize the friendliness of the staff from our arrival to our departure, we are very impressed and grateful.

Our third visit is now our last. We checked out early due to several reasons but the primary complaint is that they have become a popular wedding venue that results in other house guests being treated like second class. Upon checking in your given a note explaining that you must move your car on wedding day as they need the entire front parking lot clear for wedding photos. If your room is anywhere near the tent forget relaxing in your room. The noise and music will consume your space. At dinner, the leftover wedding guests seem to have priority seating in the dining room, we were banished to the overflow area near the noisy kitchen. We were tired of hearing many of the staff whining about "another wedding". Some are so overworked that they have short tempers and snap at you if you ask a question. We left a day early because after suffering through Saturday's wedding, we heard people discussing the second wedding taking place on Sunday. good for them but if your a houseguest not there to attend the wedding, good luck!

We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your recent stay with us at the Stonehurst Manor. We do have weddings on the weekends however all entertainment for weddings stops at 7:00 pm. We are a business and do need to function as one. Weddings are a way for us to pass along the saving to guests such as yourself.

Our group visited several of the better known lodges in North Conway and Jackson during our recent stay at Stonehurst Manor. All were in agreement that for the best atmosphere plus menu selections and service, Stonehurst comes out way ahead. The food is prepared excellently, everything from Maine lobster to beef Wellington, served as you would expect in fine NY city restaurants. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We visited in Jan. and there was always a fire going in the huge lounge fireplace. Tucked just far enough off route 16 among tall pines, it has an engaging atmosphere. Highly recommended. The atmosphere at Stonehurst is cozy and the scenery is beautiful inside and out. The food is great. This is my first time here and the feeling was warming right away. This will probably become a tradition.

Attended the thanksgiving dinner special at Stonehurst manor on New Hampshire. Wait staff was friendly and quick with the order despite the restaurant being full. Food was well prepared and offered enough variety to justify the price.
