Our third visit is now our last. We checked out early due to several reasons but the primary complaint is that they have become a popular wedding venue that results in other house guests being treated like second class. Upon checking in your given a note explaining that you must move your car on wedding day as they need the entire front parking lot clear for wedding photos. If your room is anywhere near the tent forget relaxing in your room. The noise and music will consume your space. At dinner, the leftover wedding guests seem to have priority seating in the dining room, we were banished to the overflow area near the noisy kitchen. We were tired of hearing many of the staff whining about "another wedding". Some are so overworked that they have short tempers and snap at you if you ask a question. We left a day early because after suffering through Saturday's wedding, we heard people discussing the second wedding taking place on Sunday. good for them but if your a houseguest not there to attend the wedding, good luck!

Response from the owner - in the last week
We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your recent stay with us at the Stonehurst Manor. We do have weddings on the weekends however all entertainment for weddings stops at 7:00 pm. We are a business and do need to function as one. Weddings are a way for us to pass along the saving to guests such as yourself.

The only place in North Conway to get artisan crafted brick oven pizza at 10:00 PM on a Sunday! Great food, awesome staff, cozy atmosphere. The manor pulls off the impossible - classy, relaxed, upscale, historic and elegant atmosphere without a drop of pretentiousness. A hidden gem. Their lounge is a personal favorite in the valley!

Excellent place to stay in New Hampshire. Breakfast and Supper included is a bonus! Staff is friendly and welcoming. The "manor" and the Manor rooms are full of details.

We have always dined there, but this was the first time staying there. We choose it because they are pet friendly. What a fantastic location with mountain views. There was even snow on the mountains in April. Since we had a package our dinners and breakfasts were included which makes for a terrific value. The chef's menu selections were exceptional. The wait-staff were very helpful & attentive. Being able to stay at such a beautiful property with our 2 Jack Russell's made it very enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

They tell you they are handicapped accessible but the ramp they have to put out isn't wide enough for motorized wheelchairs and is too long for a wheelchair to turn off of before going off the edge of another step. When I asked for the ramp staff had an attitude because I asked. The only handicapped bathroom is the women's bathroom and apparently it wasn't functioning properly which caused my handicapped family member to feel uncomfortable to have a drink in case that person needed the bathroom. The wedding planner had no idea where people should've been seated during the ceremony. I had asked her if I was in the right spot, she said I was but I wasn't which caused me having to move and causing a scene. I also had to remind her just before the ceremony was to start to remove a seat for the handicapped person, which she removed from the wrong side. There was no phone in our room so in an emergency situation we would have no way of calling 911 unless we went to the front desk, which was about a 5 minute walk from our room. Five minutes is a long time if someone was dying. I will never go back here ever and would never recommend it to anyone. Go somewhere else, save your money! I can't believe I paid $400 for a rude and gross hotel room. It ruined my happiness for a family members wedding.

Great views, very good food, the rooms are nice but could use a good thorough cleaning to get cobwebs off ceiling

I stayed here for five nights a few years back and the cross country skiing out the backdoor was terrific. I came with my dog so we were placed in a motel annex in the back of the main structure. It was, perhaps, the worst room I've ever been stuck in anywhere in the world. It was: tiny, noisy, poorly equipped and damp. We purchased the meals with the room and they were also A+. So we have A+ location, F on the room, A on the dining for a total of the D+/C- for the final grade. Yes, I double the room weight as snow would have been there with any other hotel. And, the room really was awful.

Go with the flow of the Saco River this summer in a canoe, kayak or tube! One of the country's most popular recreational rivers just minutes from the Manor.
Saco River canoeing, kayaking or tubing is the best way to spend a relaxing summer day enjoying the view while you beat the heat.
