Were you one of the lucky ones to get your hands on some Stone Enjoy By 05.30.16 Tangerine IPA? This three day weekend is here just in time to finish of that fresh, hoppy, citrusy goodness.

It's always a good time when the founding members of BUFF (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor) get together. Last week, our CEO and co-founder Greg Koch sat down with Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Beer and Bill Covaleski of Victory Beer to talk with the Chicago Tribune about the current #craftbeer landscape.
There’s a story that Greg Koch, Sam Calagione and Bill Covaleski like to tell.

Did you know the third beer we ever released was called Stone Heat Seeking Wheat? If you don't remember it, don't feel too bad, it didn't last very long. Read more about this short-lived seasonal beer on our #Stone20 timeline. http://bit.ly/HeatSeekingWheat

The brewing of our original Stone 6th Anniversary Porter got pretty messy (literally). Fortunately, the 20th Anniversary Encore Series version went a little bit smoother. Read about the infamous origins of this beer and why we brought it back for #Stone20: http://bit.ly/6thAnniBlog

When it came to the 2016 Stone Spotlight Series competition, brewers Brandon Jacobs & Alex Rodriguez said, “Screw it! Let’s brew something Stone would ‘never’ brew.” Thus, Stone Spotlight: Scrü Wit was born, combining a Finnish sahti, medieval European gruit and Belgian imperial wit to produce this truly unique beer, hitting shelves in California this week.

Did our CEO and Co-Founder Greg Koch really pour multiple glasses of Crime and Punishment for his mom? What kind of son would do that to his dear, trusting mother? #ChiliBeer

It's probably not a big surprise that we're making another IPA. But what do you think makes this new one (coming soon) so special?

Brewers Brandon Jacobs and Alex Rodriguez set out to create a beer Stone would "never" brew. What we got was Stone Spotlight: Scrü Wit. It's delicious, unique and available now. (Sorry, California distribution only.)

"We cranked up the malts and hops a notch or three and conditioned it on French and American oak...We’re proud to give those who missed out—as well as those who didn’t—a fresh shot at experiencing this smoky, dark-as-night wonder." #Stone20

Cans of Stone IPA are officially rolling out! If you haven't seen them near you yet, you'll soon be seeing them just about everywhere Stone beer is sold. Anyone pick up a 12 pack case yet?

Good atmosphere, good food, good beer. The parking is ample, and it was a little chilly inside, but this seems like a great place for group dinners or casual outings.

Great beer, wonderful food, fantastic service. You are doing yourself a displeasure if you don't visit Stone while in the San Diego area. If possible, make it a Thursday to check out their cask reveal.

Welcome to the Mother Ship! I suppose if you're looking for a true small batch craft beer experience this isn't the place for you, but if you accept that Stone is a massive behemoth of a brewer (are they still considered craft at this scale?), you'll enjoy this place. It's a beautiful setting, they have a good food menu, and obviously excellent beers (although heavy on the I/PAs). If you're a true beer snob you're probably not going to like this place due to your superior understanding (read pretentiousness) of craft beer. There aren't a lot of sours and whiskey barrel aged stouts here, but it is a very nice Southern California environment to get some brew and grub. I'd be back frequently if I was in the area more frequently. I was there with a party of 6 and we got a table at prime time in a reasonable amount of time, there's ample parking as it's in the middle of an industrial park, and the menu was solid.

Great brewery due to a combination of attention to detail, great restaurant, large and relaxing indoor and outdoor dining areas and of course, great beer. Parking at the brewery is acceptable, even considering the amount of people that make visits. The large foyer area puts a good foot forward as to what the rest of the brewery has to offer. The outdoor seating area included a number of tables of varying sizes, an outdoor bar and servers who will bring drinks and food to your table so if you would like to sit outside just take a seat at one of the tables and it typically does not take long for a server to be with you. The drink menu is unique for a brewery in that beers from other companies are served as well as a number of wines. Specialty large volume bottled of beer are also served.

In the beginning it started out kind of rough. Our reservation was at 1915 for 7 adults and one high chair. We checked in with the hostess 5 minutes prior and the said they just had to get the table ready and move the high chair to that area. It looked like they forgot about us because 15 minutes later we asked them how long more we had to wait their response was' "oh yeah, ummm should be a couple more minutes." When we got to our table, the so call high chair wasn't there. After we were seated, we waited another 15-20 minutes before meeting our server to get our drink orders in. Our server was great, very helpful, and very knowledgeable about the variety of beers as well as the menu items. The food came out fairly quickly. However one of our friend's got their food super fast and practically was half way done before everyone else got their's. The rest of the table had to wait about 10 minutes for their food. Our server was shocked that he had received his food and we didn't. The food was great especially the shrimp and grits. Like I said initially our experience started out kind of rocky but it improved significantly as the night went on. Good food+awesome server+good company=great night

Awesome! Food is actually pretty amazing. They were out of the Duck Tacos but our waitress recommend the Jidori chicken entree instead which was amazing. The jalapeño cheese cake is reminiscent of bleu cheese with a slightly pepper taste...no spicy. I'd love to go back and eat again.
