We learn from each other and Texas has a lot to learn.
California's the place everyone hates, at least when it comes to ranking the state's business climate. But low taxes don't generate IPOs, one North Carolina expert says.

By addressing intercourse in sex education, students learn the importance of respecting the needs of their sexual partners (physical and emotional). Teaching an abstinence only lesson plan only creates ignorance and often harmful results.

Awesome to hear that some Texas folks realize that children don't care about politics. Help when you can, where you can.

This may be a loss for Dallas business and commerce but is a win for the blue tide sweeping over Texas politics!

I don't always like (or even read) the Huff Post, but when I do, it's because of awesome thoughts like this!

UPDATE: The decision allowing Hobby Lobby's religious rights to supercede women's rights is already bleeding into other similar SCOTUS decisions
The order, involving Wheaton College in Illinois and concerning federal forms that groups must submit, drew a furious dissent from the three female justices, who said the court had broken a promise.

DO NOT buy food here. What a horrible experience. I ordered a pizza that over an hour later wasn't delivered; when I called back they said they had a large party order that was delaying mine (and even after having told me originally it would only be 20-30 minutes) and didn't even apologize - only said it would be a few minutes longer. They called back 10 minutes later saying they couldn't find my address; I said don't charge my card or if it had been to reverse it to which their response was I had to come in to the store to fix it. Luckily, I have an awesome bank who denied the charge to them at no charge to me.

Finding good sushi in DFW is difficult, and visiting here didn't help. My wife, son, and I love sushi and thought we'd try it out. We went during the middle of the week at the noon hour and were seated immediately as most tables were open (this isn't necessarily always a good thing). From there, things went sour. After our server asked if we'd been there before (and us saying no), she insulted us twice. Once, by asking if we knew what sushi was (my thought: Hello! You specialize in sushi! our response: yes we do, in fact it's his (pointing at our 12 year old son) favorite way to each fish. A moment later she asked if we knew what a bento box was (our response was yes, but we were thinking: we just explained we know what sushi is, so there's a good chance you're just not paying attention). She explained the lunch special which is ridiculous because you have to order a drink to get it (thinking: I like water so I can taste my food and so I don't feel bloated, thanks). Upon asking if they do substitutes on their main dishes, she said no (thinking: do you want us to come back?). She took our request for water and brought back a plastic cup for our 12 year old (thinking: come on, yes he's small for his age, but he's 12!). We explained we needed a moment more. We watched her take care of tables filling up around us, including taking their orders, for about 7 or 8 insulting minutes. Mind you, we've said nothing negative at this point (although we've thought plenty). So we got up and left. Considering the pricing was over the top and combined with a nasty start, we cannot recommend this place or feel comfortable going back.

My wife, son, and I recently relocated to DFW and feel we made the right choice for a family dentist. Dr. Akhavan and his staff are friendly and attentive. Their integration of modern technologies and interior design into their facility & practice, offers an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. We look forward to future visits.

Pizza is wet and rubbery and wings are dry and flavorless. I've had better pizza in public school cafeterias. Do not waste your money.
