Google Analytics Postbacks

Has anybody seen this new feature before? I just noticed it in (I believe) all accounts. It sounds cool, but I want to now more about this feature. The 'Link Postbacks' button and the links to the help center aren't working yet.

I've noticed a new report Cohort Analysis in a few Google Analytics accounts. I haven't fully tested it yet.

Has anyone seen this before in other accounts or any ideas for best practices?

After 'Picture in Picture', we get 'Google in Google'!

Just noticed this while using Google Search (see image). A lot of 'big' websites have an search box above their organic sitelinks,  see left side of the image. I expected Google to use the internal search function of the website so you will be redirected to http://www.imdb.com/find?q=pulp+fiction&s=all for example. Instead of this to happen, Google combines the given query with 'site:<DOMAIN>', see right side of the image.

Is this Is this an improvement? Is Google testing with this new feature? Is this permanent?

Google Analytics Bot and Spider Filtering

Great new feature in Google Analytics! With a simple check you can exclude traffic from common bots and spiders! No need to exclude every bot or spider manually by by using filters.

Introducing Bot and Spider Filtering

Many of you have shared with us that it’s hard to identify the real traffic that comes to your pages. That’s why I’m pleased to announce that we’re adding bot and spider filtering.

You can simply select a new checkbox option which would be included in the view level of the management user interface. This option would be labeled "Exclude traffic from known bots and spiders". Selecting this option will exclude all hits that come from bots and spiders on the IAB know bots and spiders list. The backend will exclude hits matching the User Agents named in the list as though they were subject to a profile filter. This will allow you to identify the real number of visitors that are coming to your site.

Nestlé has been testing it and has found great benefit:

“The Bot filter solution is essential for getting deeper insights. View level availability let us stay fully aligned with Best Practices provided to all site owners. Very easy to use, understand and communicate across thousands of Google Analytics users.”
-  Katarzyna Malik, Nestlé Google Analytics Specialist

Happy Analyzing!

Create your own Virtual Reality headset (by Google)
Wow, I can transform my smartphone into a Virtual Reality headset! I only need to get some items at the local hardware store and assemble them MacGyver style!

The following app can be used in combination with this Virtual Reality headset: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.samples.apps.cardboarddemo

I've just noticed a (new) feature in Google Analytics I wasn't familiair with. It seems it became easier now to seperate and analyze the performance of brand and generic paid keywords.

Has anybody seen and used this feature already?
