I loved this -- getting in digs at the NFL and their media hordes all the while promoting what you love best -- Skittles! Awesomer!

I've been going here since the mid-80's, and the quality of their halibut is outstanding. They use the thinnest possible tempura-like batter, so you're experiencing the fish, not the batter. It ends up being far less greasy than other places where the batter soaks up so much of the oil. Fries are the same, freshly cooked and not too oily. I would stick to the halibut and chips, it's definitely worth the jump in price over the cod. As far as I can tell, the same family has been running this place for the last 30 years, so they must be doing something right :)

Decided to wait until I had been a few times before passing judgement, as service and cook staff changes night to night. I've eaten at Paliotti's as a couple, with my kids, and with a large family group. Only one out of three times was the food and service passable. The pasta portions are quite large, but relatively bland and drowning in far too much sauce. The complimentary bread with oil & vinegar is great, and probably the best thing in the restaurant, however, service is amazingly slow at getting bread/drinks to the table within a decent time after sitting down - a cardinal sin in my books. Even if you enjoy the food, the service is too slow to make the experience enjoyable. We will not go back.
