I'm seeing these, and I need to play. Seriously, I'm sitting here almost shaking. I'm a working digital artist near Knoxville, TN, and I work in flame fractals, and seeing what I'm looking at, I'm dying, I mean, I'm DYING sitting here wondering what would come from feeding it some of the crazy fractals I've cooked up. I've got a serious number of fractal images that I've sorted through- some resembling things in the real world, like flowers, like weeds on a prairie, ocean waves..

I've been intrigued by fractals since the days of Fractint, back when monitors had 16 colors on them. I started on a 286 SX (It was cheaper, as it didn't have a math co-processor) I've been addicted to the things ever since. I've got tens of thousands of renders stored in box after box of zip discs, CD roms, DVDs, and a rack of external hard drives.

Humans struggle to find patterns in the random noise, and I've found a lot of things that I've created over the years that I look at as a print, and marvel that it's not a photograph of a real flower, actual waves, a black and white photo of dried weeds.

Please, this is a serious request. If you guys ever set up sandboxes for artists like myself to play in, to see what kind of artistic weirdness can come out of feeding it things like I create, for the love of God and all that is holy, look me up. In my world, my hell on earth is knowing of technology that is screaming my name, there is technology that has me so excited I can scream, and I can't play with it.

We've got 3/4 of an acre, trees on 3 sides, prettty awesome. Until they get drunk and start leaning like this walnut.

If you're an aspiring animator, this might be the best news you'll hear this month: Pixar is giving away--that's right, giving away--a version of RenderMan, its in-house rendering software. Gratis. No catch. You'll be able to download the program some time in August.

The big leaner is a walnut tree. It was leaning pretty badly after a storm a month or so ago, but Craig and the guys took it down with precision, and took out quite a few other problem trees. Great to have someone doing this sort of work that has the tools, the know how, and a top notch crew to get it done right. Highly recommended for any tree removal work you might need.

It's a totally natural phenomenon called Sublimation. It's nothing nefarious, it's been possible for snow to go from snow to vapor, skipping the turn to liquid thing, for millions of years.

I called Igloo after having repeated problems, which were never resolved by numerous other companies. Bryce, one of the owners, came out and diagnosed the problem, and had everything squared away on the first call. They're one of the best contractors I've ever dealt with, highly recommended.

Craig and his team came in and did a huge amount of work taking down some dangerously leaning trees on our property. These guys are a tight crew, they know what they're doing, they know what needs to be done and don't need to be told anything, they work together very well and efficiently . Craig outlined what was to be done for the day, they went at it, taking down some VERY difficult to remove, HUGE trees that were leaning towards the house after the storms that went through last month. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They did the job with precision, dropping trees exactly where intended, and went above and beyond my expectations. You don't run across contractors that are this good at what they do. I'd HIGHLY reccommend them for any work you need done, they're rockstars in their field.

The egg rolls were mighty greasy. Tasty, but greasy. I ordered the General Tsao chicken, and it was really sad, there were tiny, tiny diced pieces of chicken, maybe 2 tablespoons worth in total, with equally small diced carrots and celery pieces. My wife ordered Cashew Chicken, which was incredibly thin slices of chicken, the water chestnuts tasted like they came out of a can, the sauce was thin and runny and not too tasty at all. After reading a few good reviews, we tried it, and won't be back, sorry to say.
