A few of the things for keyword research mentioned in the hangout with +Holly Homer, +Nathan Byloff  and others tonight, including some I didn't actually get to :

www.ubersuggest.org - the keyword expansion tool
www.semrush.com - a good tool to look at related keywords
www.google.com/trends/ - the trends tool from google
www.spyfu.com - a tool to see what other domains are doing.  There's a sample list of some high organic ranks that can be done by domain.

Thanks all!
Get thousands keywords ideas in a minute with this amazing keyword suggestion tool: Übersuggest is Google Suggest on steroids!

Thanks so much for that!  I added it to the description of the YouTube video for reference.  Thanks for all the great info!

I'm so proud of my new intern.  KW research is fundamental and a solid SEO strategy.

Our very own intern +Kelcey Piper has jumped in head first and has a firm grasp on a pillar in ranking well; keyword research.

This is where SEO is going.  Clients that let us be strategic partners with them are our best clients, both in their performance and our efforts.

Strategic Web Marketing

Last week, I gave a new presentation on how to move beyond tactical execution and into strategic web marketing: http://bit.ly/strategytimeyo

Cross training isn't just for fitness.  SEO and PPC need to cross-train too.

2100 miles down and 1.5 weeks later, I've completed my first full family vacation in quite a while.  Unplugged for most of that time and feeling great.

In (partial) praise of the Amy's Baking Company re-opening.

Was it the right move?

Local is vital.  and it's crazy too.  Read this and realize how crazy it has actually become.

Great post from +Linda Buquet over on her blog this morning... (and the images are great, I created a few for her)

Story
Tagline
Internet marketer and social media critic
Introduction
I'm an all around internet marketer working in house.  I do search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media, affiliate marketing and web analytics.  I'd put the initials, but that's boring.   My philosophy is that nothing is ever perfect except art.

I've worked in some of the more competitive industries and had some success.  I'm always happy to geek out and talk SEO, but more often than not I'd rather talk about real life.

Outside of work I like Hockey (Dallas Stars), Wine and cars.

Bragging rights
I'd rather not brag, results speak for themselves.

Simply awful with an auto renewing contract. Never again. After spending literally one time at the office, and I had realized that I had finally seen the prepaid balance dwindle to zero. I contacted them to end the term. In doing so they told me I was on the hook for another year, since the contract automatically renewed at the end of the term. It required a 30 day notice. There was no reminder, courtesy email, or other communication. It didn't renew monthly, but for a complete year. The contract is outrageous. I'm sure they have this happen all the time since they offered me an extortionate buyout option at a slightly reduced price. There are other options out there. I'd never use these guys again, for any reason. Communication is awful and it's not worth the money.
