+Telstra is one of the last companies in the world shipping the Sony Xperia Z3 (D6653) to release the update to Lollipop.

C'mon Telstra - this is a flagship phone for Sony - and promoted heavily for its 4GX capabilities. Surely you can move this along a little!

Australians are "sick of being lectured to by the United Nations", Prime Minister Tony Abbott has said after a report found Australia's treatment of asylum seekers breaches an international anti-torture convention.

This is gold. #auspol #dataretention
The Abbott government's new metadata retention laws may drive up the price of household internet and phone plans.

There is no phrase so bankrupt as, "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." We're human beings, and we all have things to hide. We all have revelations to fear. Our secrets don't have to be criminal or seditious.

I love it how Google misleads people in the Play Store by saying things like below... "Own from $3.99" yet there is not a single movie to buy at that price - only rent.

Hey +Telstra - Any news on what SIM cards are affected by this?

This is a huge hint as to why technologies like GPG / PGP be used to distribute sensitive information. If that is using something like GPG4Win to encrypt files or email - that should be the benchmark standard.

Your phone could be vulnerable to snoops thanks to hack, but Aussie telcos are waiting on further advice.

+Telstra - Is there any way to tell if your SIM card was manufactured by Gemalto?

He has to get our metadata to meet US IP demands, nothing to do with terrorism.

We got our puppy desexed here. Our puppy came back to us terrified of what was going on around her. For a day or so, any tall male that came near her she went into a full on panic. She eventually calmed down and seemed a little more at home - so we didn't think much more of it at the time. When we took her back to get her stitches removed, she was happy entering the vets offices until saw the vet that did the operation and went into a full panic again. I have no idea what happened during the desexing - but I'm quite sure that this is not the normal reaction that animals should have. Our puppy has been to different vets before (for vaccinations etc) - but has never acted this way before or since. The scar that was left from the stitching was very ugly and the stitching was blotchy and uneven when we got her back. Would certainly not recommend this practice for procedures like this.
