Is this in the API or on Google Maps?

Google Map experts - you used to be able to get directions from A to B and also input the cost of gas/petrol. I can't find this latter option any longer, which was very useful. Has it been hidden, or has it gone?

I was wondering that the other day. The internet implies it is not a feature in the latest version of Google Maps. Shame.

Watch when your taking photos out of your hotel window.  It's not hard to figure out where, and on what floor, your staying! #googlemaps #googleearth

Never knew that Chrome had remote access functionality built into an extension.   It's amazing how much this one browser can actually do! http://chrome.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/chrome-remote-desktop-goes-mobile.html

The Google IO schedule is now live.  Go and start thinking about what sessions you'll be watching or attending.  I know I'm getting excited https://www.google.com/events/io/schedule

Did you know that the US had a few Ikea store before UK? And even more bizarre Australia had them even before the US? Great use of Google Maps to show an interactive visualisation of store openings!

BBC News is reporting that +Google Glass  could be available to "UK developers may have access as early as May"  Anybody else know anything about this?  Seems like a bit of speculation to me but if it's right then I'm one excited developer!  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26987972

Just having a play with the new Android Wearable SDK.   Looks quite easy to integrate with future apps.  Thinking about a conference app I have coming up next month in particular.   Pity the device won't be ready in time but will make a good test bed!

Just incase you haven't seen yet Google IO dates have been announced. They are changing the registration method this year so it won't be such a scramble as in previous years.

Only 126 days until the 7th annual Google I/O, when we come together with amazing developers like you to talk about what's next. On June 25-26, 2014, we’ll be broadcasting live from Moscone West. You can join us in person in San Francisco or remotely, via a live stream and through I/O Extended community events around the world.

More details to come next month, including registration info. In the meantime, you can check out highlights from last year at https://developers.google.com/events/io/

Also, quick note for those who want to join in person: this year we’re making some changes to registration, so you won’t need to scramble the second registration opens. We'll be implementing a new system, where you can submit your interest to attend Google I/O 2014. Successful applicants will then be randomly selected and notified shortly thereafter. We’ll be following up with more details from +GoogleDevelopers, so stay tuned.

We were left waiting for the 30 minutes last night while the waitress was taking other peoples orders. I just found the whole experience not that pleasant. Thank goodness my friends were around to help out.

A bit on the pricy side but the food is always good and the drink are always flowing. Then I get to hit the gym after that downstairs. Everything in one place

I've always found this cinema a bit on the small side but for some movies this is quite nice. Never to quite but at the same time never too busy (accept if there is a big movie on) I tend to go here when I have a spare moment to catch a movie
