DON'T LET #POINTERGATE POINT YOU THE WRONG WAY

The Mayor genuinely understands the racial disparities in this town, and goes out door knocking with a local advocacy group, helping people on the North Side register to vote. This offends the police department, who as it turns out, are butthurt over the mayor's response to an open letter signed ...

Bad janitors are usually held accountable...bad cops are usually not. If it actually is just 'a few bad apples', get rid of them already. It's not rocket science. And now, because I pointed out a problem with law enforcement culture, let me guess...I hate all cops, I vote for Obama, I'm a terrorist, I hate puppies, how dare I, etcetera, etcetera. This is actually part of why bad cops are usually not held accountable. It's wrong to raise questions about them.

Due to time zone voodoo, the start time for Twin Cities #FLOODTHESTREETS is actually 10 a.m.
#FLOODTHESTREETS is set to happen nationally, in unison, at 11 a.m. EST. That means that Minnesota is starting at 10 a.m.

If you didn't notice that little irregularity,  don't worry-neither did the tall, dark, and doofus setting up the Facebook page :) So,...

I saw a few instances of harassment and dudes being way out of line, but come on now. Most of that video wasn't. It was dudes saying hi. Even if they said hi because they wanted to get in her pants, they left it alone after hi. I say hi and spark up conversations with pretty much everyone I see, do I have to cut women out of that so I'm not "sexually assaulting" them? How about I give her my height and she can listen to people tell her she's freakishly tall all the time, and I'll take her semi-good looks so I can hear about that instead of the damn tall jokes. Holy shit, this is ridiculous. I have supported feminism my whole life, but if this is what it's becoming, poke me with a fork I'm done. This is just too much. What's next, don't look in a woman's direction or you're a stalker? Jesus Christ.

Introduction
I'm Steve Shagwell. I write, make art, and vocalize in metal bands. I am a student of the viola and classical guitar

Self-improvement and living with chronic pain and PTSD are my focus. In some ways I have it more together than the average American. In other ways I am a complete clusterfuck. I like to think it balances out.

Kenya was very friendly and helpful and the free popcorn was nice, too. I could do with a better interest rate, but that's what short term loans are all about, so five stars for this place. You feel a little down on your luck when you Have to use a service like this, so it's good to be treated nice

I've ate great meals there and have enjoyed the friendly staff, but this morning they were above and beyond the call of duty with their helpfulness. Thank you for printing my bus ticket, you were life savers! :)
