If you value your privacy, take a moment to read this and tell our Senators to vote NO on Amendment 4787! The proposed amendment would allow the FBI to demand a wide range of Electronic Communication Transactional Records (ECTRs)—including YOUR browsing history! #eff   #amendment4787
National security hawks are pushing an amendment to expand the FBI's surveillance powers and make the "lone wolf" provision of the Patriot Act permanent. Tell your Senator now to vote against the McCain-Cornyn Amendment 4787. Not on Twitter? Click here. Ahhh, simpler days...
Ok, so here's an iconic shot of President Kennedy bestowing an honor to Mercury Astronaut Alan Shepard in 1963. By all accounts, this was a very high profile ceremony in the White House Rose Garden after Shepard's historic space flight.
So is it just me, or is it odd that they were using regular old galvanized water pipe to fashion a microphone stand?

Seriously??
So what this really says, is that this past Monday, one-seventh of the entire world's population had nothing better to do than waste time on Facebook!. Incredible.

The social network has a major milestone to celebrate.

Ok, so how much mass and energy does it take to bend Spacetime??
You know you've always been curious, right?  Interesting read, and only a little math.
A hundred years on, and the implications of Einstein's general relativity still surprise and delight

Samantha Bee’s Blistering Commentary on the Orlando Shooting: Stop Praying and Get to Work
According to Florida governor... the biggest, most helpful thing you can do to ensure this never happens again is sit quietly in a room with your eyes closed, talking to nobody. In other words... pray.

Of which well-regulated militia was this mass murderer/legal gun owner in Orlando a member?

I had the privilege of being invited to create a 360˚ virtual tour of this year's Diner en Blanc pop-up party on Aug. 27 at Pershing Square in LA.  About 1,000 people attended this private party, where two requirements were to wear ALL WHITE, and bring your own food, table & chairs.  CRAZY wild time!

Curious about Google's newly-created parent company Alphabet?  This chart does a good job of laying out the holding company's subsidiary interests.

Ten people in line for customer service, and only one person assisting. It finally took 18 minutes to return one item.

Pretty much like any other Subway store, but for Sunnymead Ranch residents, a real gem.

I've been doing business with these guys for a really long time (20 + years and 7 vehicles) and even though they may not be the least expensive option in town, for the serious work I wouldn't go anywhere else. Frankly even their basic service options are pretty competitive to other independents. I also like the idea that I can easily manage my vehicle maintenance history thru one place, as opposed to keeping a shoebox of old receipts. I've even had pretty good luck calling into the service dept. if I have a question (like if a want to add a quart of oil, what weight was put in last?)

Baseball diamonds but not much else. Not even a lot of shade. Looks to be a pretty new park.
