What if the Internet spawned a digital stateless peer to peer currency that bypassed both centralized state power and the incumbent financial industry who currenly control our financial lives? What if savers were protected from perpetual inflation, consumers from high transaction fees and the world from fiat funded wars?  How do our lives and the Internet change in light of #Bitcoin?

A bit dated  in terms of the numbers (published in 1990), but a great crash course for anyone interested in #Libertarianism.

+Durand D'souza I don't think the bankers are stupid at all, actually it's quite the opposite. They get to make fake money and then lend out that fake money wildly and then get the government to pay for defaults/debt (while still bleeding people to the point of default) that their customers have to pay for though taxes. People are just idiots. I don't think it's just the banking system, there are many factors. I wasn't just talking about corporate banks, but all corporates that have their hand in government.

I think people are confused with capitalism and corporatism thinking that they're the same when they're not. Real capitalism would never bailout companies and/or banks and the consequences would have not be prolong like they have been.

If you are a producer or consumer of intellectual property (ie everyone) you should read this.
Patents and copyrights are government monopoly grants with nothing in common with the notion of property at the heart of libertarianism.

Oh, I'm with you there. The terms of copyright (and patent, for that matter) are absurd and highly biased toward non-human legal "persons". And yet, your subtle and nuanced and reasonable point is quite different from what's laid out in the article originally referenced.
