I had a 1973 Hillman Avenger GL back in the 1970's my second car after a Hillman Minx! Loved the Avenger, great handling car or I thought so at the time. I did 10's of thousands of miles in that car. Sure if suffered the usual rust problems on the body and the chassis, but the local garage helped me keep it on the road and it got through the MoT each year. I still have some photos of the car! Thanks for sharing the video David, enjoyed watching you bring this one back to life again!

I found this video very interesting from the point of view of the different systems you have tried out in recent months and what works and what doesn't work. Really worth watching all the way through.

Your reasons for using a ring bound organiser (Filofax, VdS, etc) are exactly my own reasons for staying with a Filofax for so many years.

But... I've made my own thin notebook and it is inserted in my travel wallet for notes whilst on journeys etc. But I do transfer the notes to my Filofax later on. That works for me.

My ring change video is on the Philofaxy channel and it features a Gillio, but the same method applies to the Van der Spek. http://youtu.be/9vYL0aFullc

This video has encouraged me to move to Midori! I have downloaded several nitebooks from Ray's site, and going to make my own Midori. If I will use it, I'll buy the real MTN. The "problem" is that I do prefer one system, and if I have a MTN, I have to have there my planning and journalling systems.
I'm going to maintain two systems for a while ( one into MTN and one into a FF. I doubt it would last long. We'll see.
I'm going to China in one day, maybe I'll find there a Midori, who knows?
