How To Auto-Update Copyright Date In Footer

Here is a quick video guide on how to auto-update the copyright date in the footer of your website.

Oh sure you could just remove the date altogether but a current date (year) tells me the site owner is most likely active in his or her site.

For me, when I visit a website and notice the copyright date is 4 years ago, my first thought is "what else on this site is outdated and useless"

On with the show...

I began rendering and adding the WebM video format to all the recent video series updates I've made. In the hopes of showing customers how to use the WebM video formats so their videos will play on all browsers and all devices, I wanted to make a training video.

In the process of testing for this training video, I got trained myself...

Trained that the fall-back video formats like WebM, are not required any longer with the major browsers.

I tested on an iPhone 6, an Android phone, and the big 5 browsers - Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari & Internet Explorer.

As I demo in this video, all I used was a free video player and a properly coded MP4 video file.

Have a look-see and let me know if you have questions or if I've missed something that needs to be corrected or added.
