Music testing on phones 8-)

I'd conditioned myself to think that the headphone amp in the Marshall London was somehow better than that in other phones, but....

Using studio-class headphones, I played a variety of bit of music on several smartphones, the London, the Nexus 6P, the Lumia 950 and.... I'm blowed if I can tell the difference.

Seems to me that the biggest factors in quality music playback on phones are (in order):
1. Bitrate and codec of music files
2. Quality/EQ/form factor of headphones
3. Quality of your own hearing(!)
and a distant:
4. Quality of output electronics/amplifier in the phone
