Check out this video on YouTube: A quick compilation of the K&P Trail located in Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada. This 9 km portion of the trail was cycled southbound from Bellrock Rd in Verona down to Colebrooke Rd in Harrowsmith. The music is "Out of the Shadows" by Opus Orange, which I first heard from the amazing documentary "Mile...Mile & a Half." The video was shot handheld using the new Hyperlapse iOS app.

Very nice, Steve. I recognize that farm and tree near the end. I've hiked most of that section, with the Cubs, numerous times. :-)

Wow. Still so applicable more than a century later when it seems domestic and global conflict are pervasive as ever. Perhaps Occam's razor should be applied here. There's no fewer assumptions than the acceptance of love and the rejection of evil.
"Love is the only way to rescue humanity from all ills." In 1908, Indian revolutionary Taraknath Das wrote to Leo Tolstoy, by then one of

Wonderful & inspiring.
Here's a story that will warm your heart. Like many New Yorkers, professional hairdresser and stylist Mark Bustos works an intensive 6 days a week. There's seldom a minute during the working week, when he has time to catch his breath. But each Sunday, come rain or shine and despite it bein...

An example of how the #Volt still does well but loses efficiency outside the pure electric range. Today was a 60km commute to work and back, a half top-up over 2 hours at home with the 240 V charger, then a trip to Belleville and back for a kid's soccer match.

You could definitely say this was a boat-themed day. First a ferry ride over to Wolfe Island for preparation and ceremony, as Katherine's American family has had a property there for decades. Then back across to the mainland to the Island Queen for dinner and reception. We're really glad we pulled the bride and groom away for those few minutes at sunset! #wedding #weddingphotography #Kingston #ygk #WolfeIsland  #ferry #cruise

It’s free for simply creating a collection and showing it. I love the simplicity. I’m still with Zenfolio as well.

Insane.

What is the biggest known star in the Universe?

Astronomers have identified that one in VY Canis Majoris (VY CMa), a hypergiant star located in the constellation Canis Major, which with a diameter equal to 2600 sunlight (solar radius 1 = 7 x 10 ^ 8 m) is currently the biggest known star and one of the brightest.

It is located about 5000 light-years from Earth, and, unlike many others that are in binary or multiple systems, VY CMa is a single star instead.
If we imagined being on an airplane and fly over the star, with a top speed of 900 km / h, we would expend more than 1000 years to return to the starting point.

In the animated gif below, you can see  VY Canis Majoris  compared to Earth.
In order of appearance: Earth, Sun, Sirius, Betelgeuse, VY Canis Majoris.
VY Canis Majoris is so large, that if it were to replace our own sun the star itself would extend outwards past the orbit of Jupiter.

An important distinction.
Summary: The best part about having smartphones and thousands of connections through social networks like Twitter or Instagram is that we never have to be bored. But that’s also the bad part.

A beautiful with an amazing couple. The ceremony was at Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast in Odessa, with a quick stop at Babcock Mill before heading to the Portuguese Hall for the reception.

Ryan was a phenomenal asset to us in locking in a larger mortgage for a new home at a much lower rate, and fighting for us to ensure we received the best care with the right lender. He was a comfort to my me and my wife, making us feel like we were his only customer, even though we knew he had many others. Throughout the entire process he was only a phone call away for many questions we had, and often proactively contacted us to ensure things were going smoothly. A perfect combination of genuine concern for our well-being, grit to deal with the lenders and business savvy to understand a complex process and somehow make it understandable to us. We couldn't recommend Ryan and his team highly enough. Thank you once again for all that you have done and will continue to do.

Our new favourite B&B in Ontario! We had the absolute pleasure of having Shane and Allan receive us into the comfort of their home and property in the middle of one of the worst snow storms of 2013. All the stress faded away as we pulled up the long lane way, dropped our bags and soaked up the beauty and peacefulness of the property. We took advantage of Shane's hospitality, imbibing in his meal preparation, custom wine, outdoor hot tub in the middle of winter, warming up at the fireplace in the mini-cottage and just talking his ear off (or was that vice-versa?). We then retired to the king bed where every little detail of the room was so meticulously thought out. There wasn't a single amenity we needed to ask for, it was already there waiting for us. Shane continues to improve upon the main building and the property and we absolutely cannot wait to return this summer to see it in a different season. Thank you for truly being a shelter in the storm. Anxiously waiting our return.
