Hey Steve, it seems like the new cos13 dialer removed the option to change t9 language. please return it! this feature is super critical for people who have contact lists in multiple language!

+Steve Kondik finally the best os to opo(as of now)... Ever since I purchased opo it has some or the other issue in terms of sw.. Slowing down randomly.. Hanging at random screen.... But with marshmallow it became super fluid super fast... I have yet to see lag/hang... So thank you very much for giving the best version than any other previous versions

Really excited about this. We've got some great features in CM, and now its time to start giving developers the ability to use them to build new kinds of apps. This is our first step in this direction and by no means our last.

Introducing the Cyanogen Platform SDK.

Developers, read more about how you can leverage and contribute to the project.

+Steve Kondik Thanks for clearing the air :)
The lack of Camera2 API support is a real bummer. :/
But please bring some additional features to the camera app like 120 fps slow-mo, RAW capture etc.
The Sony IMX 135 sensor is much more capable in photography than what it is currently on the Yureka!

It's always a bummer when certain people with an axe to grind make unfounded claims that we are actively putting our users in harms way. And that they just happen to write for the front page of XDA. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I just wanted to pause for a second and make it clear where both my company (Cyanogen Inc) stands and where I personally stand on the topic of keeping control in the hands of our users.

One of our goals is to enable powerful services to become part of our platform rather than a bunch of bolt-ons thoughtlessly thrown together. But we'll never do it without your permission, and we'll always have extra layers of defense.

Check out the screenshots below of some of the things we've built to make this a reality before jumping to conclusions.

As always- if you have ideas on how to improve these features, we are listening!

+Rohit Goswami Hence my frustration :) The guys writing for the front page over there generally have an agenda or are on someone's payroll, and we have not even once been contacted by an author who writes for them. XDA has a LOT of users but the front page has become a sea of paid shills, misinformation and half-truths. Sucks.

OnePlus users now have two Lollipops to choose from, though this one will arrive via an over-the-air update. Android users the world over were treated to quite the change of pace last year when the folks from the newly formed Cyanogen Inc. and a spinoff from Oppo launched a new high-end phone with a mid-range price tag. One of the many questions to come from the launch of the OnePlus...

A release and a changelog? No way!
We left the M release builds in the oven longer than we thought, but nothing a little graham cracker and chocolate can't make that much better. CM13.0 brings

XD +Rui Parrula no offense but they 'just' gave us oxygen os 2.1.4(bugs not even fixed) and as Oneplus said, oxygen is just community build for us. Want official, go to cyanogen. Cyanogen is the one you should expect ota's from. Its just that cyanogen os isn't good at updates. That being said nightlies is the solution for those impatient people who want this update so badly. Else cyanogen did say its under certification so it'll be out soon ™

Earlier this year I made a feature for CM called LiveDisplay which does exactly this. It reduces the color temperature of your screen as the sun goes down, and returns it back to normal as the sun rises. I use Redshift on my laptop, but most phones benefit even more since they often are calibrated to an absurdly high temperature by default.

The feature can also boost contrast and brightness when under extremely bright lights to make the display more readable.

We're certainly not the pioneers of this, but I haven't seen a device which could do this out of the box (with hardware acceleration too).

It's been effective for me at least :)
Manufacturers need to do more to prevent the light from smartphones and tablets disrupting people's sleep, says a leading doctor.

Thanks for that feature. I knew about bluelight, use redshift on my computers (FOSS) and messed around twilight. But the sudden glare as some system or security operations took place was detrimental. Then CM came along and you know the rest. THAT feature is worth 1000 camera app upgrades to me. Cheers!

I wrote up a short  technical retrospect on the issues we ran into rolling out Cyanogen OS 12 and the challenges we faced upgrading everyone's favorite breakfast meat to the latest and greatest. Things are back in full swing now. We definitely lost a lot of sleep, but also learned a lot in the process.

https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/adventures-in-ota-land.306573/

And as usual, anything you read today about us desupporting devices or whatever is largely unfounded.

The OSS side of what we do is something I'm deeply passionate about, and it's time to get even more serious about it. Hit us up.

...and please don't shit this up about OTAs, we're literally just waiting for the +2 on certification :)

I use TrashOs err.. I mean OxygenOS but it's not the same as Cyanogenmod. Not many things to customize etc. I hope that CM 12S will be released soon. Is there any preview of how cm 12s will look?
