I'm trying to create a simple test using the templated Google Actions 'Flash Cards' - I am trying to use an audio file, as the 'question' - a Chinese character. I'm not sure this can be supported in the templated projects, but if anyone has got it to work, I'd be grateful. e.g. this string works in the simulator (I'm hosting the audio in a GCP bucket):

<speak>
<audio src="https://storage.googleapis.com/staging.trivia-game-eea78.appspot.com/EasyChinese/Tones/3ma%20male.ogg"/>
</speak>

I have the source code for the Trivia game from GitHub, so failing the easy method, is to re-code to use audio files and not text for the questions.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Hi, I've been learning Chinese for 2 years, and am looking to build an app that can help other students starting out ... so the locale will be EN, but I need the app to speak and understand in Chinese (Mandarin, 'Simplified' Chinese), is this even possible, I could not find anything in the documentation.

IoN, I got my first app 'Australian Citizenship Quiz' approved (being rolled out), based on a real user need from my Maltese mother-in-law; I've let the Australian Department of Home Affairs gov dept know, and hope it helps other (tech challenged!) Australian citizens get ready for their citizenship test :)

Hi, has anyone tried to use React to build Google Actions?

"Do I recall also that you are a bit of a whizz at website construction (as per the GDTL e-portfolio requirement)? If so, we have some in the class who are new to both ETP501 and ETP503. There's scope for supporting anyone in class who needs to get an e-portfolio up and running pretty quickly this semester.

Would you be willing to lead the way with mentoring class members if they seek this kind of technological support? Be assured that I won't be offended if you decline to adopt a role as a Discussion Board mentor- I realise how busy absolutely everything gets in the GDTL course context. "
